Responsibilities & Context:
The Central Distribution Manager is responsible for supervising company distribution functions, managing the local depots and logistics operations for agricultural inputs, ensuring accurate order processing, accountable for timely deliveries, and regulatory compliance. The role involves strategic distribution planning, close coordination with the distribution executives, daily sales reporting, and efficient inventory management to support regular business needs.
Plan and manage central distribution operations in alignment with seasonal forecasts and sales targets.
Oversee daily sales order processing, dispatch scheduling, and delivery to regional depots and dealers.
Coordinate closely with Sales for order prioritization, promotional support, and daily reporting.
Follow up with central warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control, proper storage, and regulatory compliance.
Optimize logistics and transportation to ensure timely, cost-effective distribution.
Compile and communicate daily sales and dispatch reports to the relevant stakeholders.
Monitor key operational KPIs and implement improvements where needed.
Lead, train and develop depot teams to ensure effective performance during peak seasons.
Monitor the team performance and take required initiatives to maintain departmental performance.
Manage relationships with 3rd Party Logistics/ distribution partners to achieve operational excellence.
Collaborate with portfolio, production, sales teams to synchronize supply and demand.
