Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters preferably in Journalism and Mass Communications/ Media Studies / English/ Business Studies from any recognised university/ institution with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop annual communication plan for UDP
∎ Manage, design, production and circulation of newsletter, IEC and BCC materials, and all other communications/ promotional materials of UDP
∎ Assist in the design, production and dissemination of knowledge materials
∎ Act as the communication focal point of UDP and maintain close communication with BRAC communications for sharing UDP updates
∎ Write and edit content for communications materials including op­eds, blog articles, press releases, event reports, website content, etc.
∎ Maintain thorough documentation of different projects/components related activities of UDP including audio-­visual documentation.
∎ Take initiatives for promoting visibility of the programme at local and national levels.
∎ Update information/content under the UDP section on BRAC website.
∎ Organize seminars, workshops, roundtables, conference and other events as per need of the programme.
∎ Network and liaise with relevant stakeholders including journalists and media professionals for increasing programme visibility at the national and international level.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years' experience in a national or international development organization is required
∎ Have knowledge on IEC and BCC material development
∎ Have knowledge on social communication theories, communication tools, social media, current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development, women empowerment, SDGs.
∎ Have skills on DTP software applications including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
∎ Excellent communication skills, both oral and writer, in Bangla and English
∎ Have skills on report writing
∎ Have to be creative; result oriented; self-motivated; ability to plan and manage work independently; commitment to learning, ability to adapt to change
