Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage the and maintain book of accounts as required by income tax, vat rules, company act and other relevant acts of microcredit.
∎ Follow up reviewing of monthly draft accounts and ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
∎ Ensure to prepare of fund requisition along with necessary supporting documents.
∎ Reviewing financial reports and budget with necessary statements as per contract/agreement/MOU.
∎ Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
∎ Manage the fund transfer from designated bank accounts of assigned projects to BRAC's operational bank accounts.
∎ Meeting with programme personnel to solve various finance and accounting related problems.
∎ Maintaining proper coordination with the internal and external auditors and satisfy audit queries to ensure that unqualified reports are issued.
∎ Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
∎ Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.
∎ Responds to inquiries from the Director Finance, Head of Accounts, Programme Directors, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
∎ Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
∎ Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
∎ Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
∎ Personnel management of project accounts staff within the scope of BRAC human resources systems.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts/ Finance/ Budget/ Audit/ Tax/ VAT is required
∎ Knowledge on Accounting, Finance, Audit, Budget, Tax / VAT
∎ Should be sincere, polite, dynamic, hard working and willing to work under pressure
∎ Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
∎ Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
∎ Should have strong communication skills in both Bengali and English
∎ Knowledge on computer proficient and should be able to thrive in a fast -pace setting
