Job Context:
∎ Unnayan Dhara (UD) is a non government voluntary development organization incepted in 1992 by a group of social activists with a vision of contributing to developing a peaceful and just society in Bangladesh where all people enjoy poverty free, happy, prosperous and dignified life. Since inception UD has been working with a mission to create a process of participatory development and social structural change towards equal rights and sustainable livelihood of the poor, marginal and underprivileged people with a goal of their empowerment and sustainable development. UD was registered under Department of Social Service (reg. no.77/93) in 1993 and under NGO Affairs Bureau (reg. no.1119/97) in 1997. The activities of the organization is focused on Sustainable Development of rural poor people specially marginalized farmers containing the philosophy of sustainable agriculture (an integrated farming system based on holistic-scientific approach, which is ecologically sound, economically viable, socially & culturally just that secures farmer rights and leads to their sustainable development) by means of organic farming. Farmers` rights and gender equity remains in the center of the development interventions while food security towards food sovereignty in ensuring right to food of the people in the face of climate change are the major issues for policy advocacy of the organization. The inspiration behind the emergence of UD was the cognition & commitment of our liberation war in 1971 and the spirit the first constitution of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh specially the of article 19 where the State has to ensure equality of opportunity to all citizens and adopt effective measures to remove social and economic inequality between man and man and to ensure the equitable distribution of wealth among citizens, and of opportunities in order to attain a uniform level of economic development throughout the Republic and to ensure equality of opportunity and participation of women in all spheres of national life. On the other hand, Mr. Talib Bashar (Nayan), the founder of the organization, while he had been working as News Editor of "The Daily Rannar" came to know about deadly harmful impacts of chemical agriculture and about practices of organic agriculture through some articles being sent to publish in the Daily Runner by Agriculturist named Shekh Golam Mohiuddin. So, since inception Sustainable Agriculture has taken as core program of the organization.
∎ The Deputy Coordinator (M & E) will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the all programs monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the Project. Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators. Under the overall guidance of the UD Executive Director of the Project, S/he will be responsible for the monitoring and ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that the projects maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement.
∎ Employment Status: Regular (Full time)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design, develop and implement results based M & E systems for the project;
∎ Implement reporting system and documentation as per project needs.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual work plan for the project and follow up the accomplishment of the targeted activities;
∎ Monthly data collection, analysis report and periodic monitoring report for the project;
∎ Ensure quality data to measuring impact of the project interventions through various approaches using both qualitative and quantitative process.
∎ Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
∎ Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
∎ Provide necessary guidance to the field staff on different M&E tools and techniques for monitoring of activities and collection of field data;
∎ Assist Project Coordinator in all project programs and activities
∎ Assist PC to prepare any guideline, process and tools as per the guidance by BftW and others donor representatives and senior management;
∎ Collect case studies, document, lessons learned and best practices from the field and finalize the documents for external dissemination and future preservation;
∎ Maintain gender and equality following the organizational policy and practice Provide necessary guidance to the field staff on different M & E tools and techniques for monitoring of activities and collection of field data;
∎ In addition to that any other duties and responsibilities may assigned by the authority / organization, which need to be carried out.

∎ Minimum 2-3 years experience as M & E officer in the field of Monitoring & Evaluation S/he should be skilled in data collection, quality control, data management, analysis and reporting writing.
∎ Computer knowledge (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)
∎ Strong in English and capable to write quality report in Bangla and English is necessary.
∎ Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
∎ Must have proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA etc) and
Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000(Monthly) + Provident fund, Gratuity & two festival bonus and other benefits as per project.
