Required Qualifications & Experience

• Valid BMDC Registration is mandatory

• Must have BDS, MHP

• Experience working in Rohingya refugee camps is essential

• Proficient in health documentation and reporting

• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a humanitarian context

• Location: Nayapara Registered Camp, Dental Clinic, Teknaf.

• Duty Days: 6 Days per week

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in Bangla and English

• Knowledge of Chittagonian dialect is an added advantage

Job Summary

Muslim Hands International is seeking a qualified and compassionate Dental Surgeon to join our health team in Nayapara Registered Camp, Dental Clinic, Taknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The selected candidate will provide oral healthcare services to the Rohingya refugee population, ensuring quality care delivery in alignment with humanitarian health standards and protocols.

Clinical & Technical Skills

• Proficiency in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oral diseases.

• Competence in restorative and surgical procedures.

• Expertise in infection control and sterilization protocols.

• Knowledge of community-based oral health care delivery.

• Ability to perform emergency dental care and trauma management.

Public Health & Community Skills

• Understanding of epidemiology of oral diseases.

• Skills in oral health promotion and preventive dentistry (school programs, community outreach, awareness campaigns).

• Ability to design and implement oral health programs at population level.

• Knowledge of health policy, health systems, and regulations related to dentistry.

• Familiarity with disease surveillance and data collection methods for oral health research.

Management skills

• Strong communication skills (educating patients & communities).

• Leadership and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings.

• Patient counseling and behavioral management (especially with children, elderly, or anxious patients).

• Cultural competence to work with diverse populations.

• Ethical and professional decision-making.

Research & Analytical Skills

• Ability to conduct oral health surveys and research studies.

• Competence in biostatistics, data analysis, and interpretation.

• Writing reports, publications, and policy briefs on oral health education
