Job Context:
∎ Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking qualified candidates for multiple positions for the five-year USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Horticulture, Fruits, and Non-Food Crops Activity. The activity supports the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) food security objective by increasing the private sector`s capacity to increase productivity and production of quality horticulture, fruits, and non-food crops that meet international standards. The activity will also strengthen the value chain, linking Bangladeshi smallholder commercial farmers, and other value chain actors towards increasing the efficiency of the market system to meet domestic and international market demands. The result will be a more competent private sector, and efficient market systems that will increase farmers` income and improve the food security of Bangladesh.
∎ The Data Management and Entry Assistant and Grants Assistant positions will be based in Dhaka and may require periodic domestic travel. Chemonics expects to fill multiple Partnership Specialist positions based in Dhaka as well as within regional project offices outside of Dhaka. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka, or other cities in Bangladesh
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in management and utilization of program data.
∎ Experience managing, cleaning, entering, aggregating, and generating reports from data using database platforms; knowledge of database platforms.
∎ Experience preparing donor, general audience, and other reports.
∎ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet software, and data processing.
∎ Experience with knowledge sharing and management platforms (wikis, Facebook, WebEx, etc.).
∎ Knowledge of creating, processing, and managing GIS data a plus.
∎ Ability to design clear and attractive presentations and other communication documents for MEL communications.
∎ Experience working with USAID and/or international donor-funded projects in Bangladesh highly preferred.
∎ Experience working in the southern regions of Bangladesh preferred.
∎ Experience with design of agribusiness data collection tools and systems a plus.
∎ ?Knowledge of online, open-source data collection tools and approaches, and/or database environment a plus
∎ Knowledge of project management software (Kobo Toolbox, Open MRS, ODK, CommCare, CSPro, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.) a plus
∎ Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
∎ Proficiency in English required, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
