∎ Proven experience in conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), preferably in the field of agriculture, climate change, gender inclusion or rural development.
∎ Fluency in spoken and written Bangla and English languages, with demonstrated proficiency in transcription and translation between the two languages.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate group discussions, rapport building with participants, and maintain confidentiality.
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording, transcribing, and translating qualitative data.
∎ Ability to work independently and efficiently within a short-term project timeline, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in a dynamic research environment. Willingness to travel to rural areas and engage with agricultural communities in diverse cultural contexts.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with farmers, agricultural experts, and stakeholders to gather qualitative data;
∎ Facilitate FGDs and KIIs using participatory methods and interview guides tailored to project objectives, ensuring inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and ethical considerations;
∎ Record audio and/or video footage of FGDs and KIIs, maintaining accuracy and completeness of recordings for transcription and analysis;
∎ Transcribe recordings into both Bangla and English languages, capturing verbatim responses and nuances of communication while adhering to transcription standards and quality assurance protocols;
∎ Translate transcribed data in both Bangla and English languages, maintaining fidelity to original meaning and context;
∎ Organize and manage transcription files, ensuring confidentiality, security, and proper documentation of data sources;
∎ Collaborate with project researchers and analysts to integrate qualitative findings with quantitative data and contribute to comprehensive data interpretation;
∎ Participate in project meetings and debrief sessions to provide updates on data collection progress, challenges, and opportunities;
∎ Maintain professionalism and strong confidentiality.
∎ World Vision Bangladesh invite applications for the following position of a skilled and adaptable Data Collection Officer to support the Gender and Agroecology study for a duration of 2 months short-term contract. The role will primarily focus on conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) along with following selected qualitative tool, as well as recording and transcribing the qualitative data from the selected study area locations.
