The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and industry-experienced Cybersecurity professional to join us as a remote instructor for our flagship Cybersecurity Engineering Live Course. In this role, you will be pivotal in training the next generation of cyber defenders, primarily for our students across the USA and Bangladesh. You will translate complex security concepts into engaging, practical lessons that prepare students for real-world challenges and career opportunities in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Online Instruction: Deliver interactive, high-energy live lectures and labs via platforms like Zoom, covering core cybersecurity domains such as Network Security, Ethical Hacking, Cloud Security, Incident Response, Cryptography, and Compliance.

• Curriculum Delivery & Development: Execute a structured syllabus while continuously updating content to reflect the latest threats, tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit, SIEM solutions), and industry best practices.

• Hands-On Lab Facilitation: Design, set up, and guide students through practical, hands-on labs in controlled environments (e.g., virtual machines, cyber ranges) to simulate real-world attack and defense scenarios.

• Student Mentorship & Support: Provide personalized feedback on projects and assignments, host regular office hours for doubt resolution, and offer guidance on career pathways in cybersecurity.

• Career Readiness Training: Conduct specialized sessions on building a cybersecurity-focused resume, preparing for technical interviews (including CTF-style questions), and developing a professional portfolio.

• Assessment & Evaluation: Create and grade practical assignments, capstone projects, and assessments to evaluate student understanding and skill acquisition.

• Community Building: Foster a collaborative and secure online learning community where students can share knowledge and practice skills ethically.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, OSCP) are highly preferred and may supplement educational background.

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on professional experience in cybersecurity roles such as Security Analyst, Penetration Tester, Security Engineer, or SOC Analyst.

• Teaching & Communication Skills: Prior teaching, mentoring, or public training experience is a strong advantage. Must possess exceptional presentation and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly to a global, live audience.

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise in core cybersecurity areas and practical experience with security tools and platforms.

• Remote Delivery Skills: Proficiency with online teaching tools, virtual lab environments, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
