Additional Requirements:
  • Age 22 to 35 years
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in humanitarian or development programs, preferably in Cox’s Bazar or similar emergency response contexts.
  • Prior experience in protection, DRR, gender-based programming, or community engagement will be a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Chittagonian language and local socio-cultural dynamics is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Cox’s Bazar context.
  • Experience with peace, protection, DRR, Livelihood, mediation, CBO/CSO.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sensitive issues.
  • Understanding of local community structures.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


Responsibilities & Context:

Project Context:

Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Strengthening Inclusive Governance and Adaptive Social Cohesion (SI GA) Project in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, supported by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development). The project period is from 01 November 2025 to 31 October 2030, and it deliberately follows the HDP (Humanitarian, Development, Peace) Nexus approach to address the complex needs of both Rohingya and host communities. The project is centred on civil society organization (CSO) strengthening, social cohesion, resilience, gender-responsive development, and the promotion of human rights. By empowering CSOs, the project aims to improve peaceful coexistence, enhance cooperation with government institutions, resolve conflicts, and build resilience to climate, security, and protection risks.

CSO Mobilizer comes from local communities and is an important link between project activities, local CSOs, and the wider community. The community-based work model follows the guidelines of the cross-sector coordination group, which promotes the involvement of local volunteers to ensure community ownership and the sustainability of humanitarian actions. The CSO Mobilizer is essentially a qualified volunteer who will be trained by the project.

The CSO mobilizers trained by the project will play a key role in:

  • Supporting project staff in implementing training and capacity-building initiatives for civil society organizations.

  • Supporting the dissemination of what has been learned by trained CSO representatives within their organizations.

  • Coordinating activities through the multi-purpose centers (MPCs) established under the project.

  • CSO mobilizers can conduct assessments consistently and accurately

  • TOT session on the module covering peace mediation, conflict resolution, GBV, and communication DRR & Livelihood.

  • Regular communication and updates with CiC and local administration. He/she will support, assist, and facilitate daily work in the field.

  • Support in organizing training, meetings, sessions, and community awareness activities.

  • Facilitation of different sessions at filed and household level among the FDMN/Hnila area.

  • Maintain close interaction and regular communication with the CBO/CSO members.

  • Close interaction and communication with CBO/CSOs or group members as a frontliner.

  • Data collection, compilation, and integration by using digital tools/equipment.

  • Participate in ToT training and refreshers, and will cascade among the CBOs.

  • He/she will support the project staff and ensure continuous cooperation with CSOs in Camps/Hnila UP.

  • He/she will support as a co-facilitator.

  • She/he has an affinity for conflict management and communication, as well as quick adaptability and comprehension.

  • CSO mobilizers will hold regular discussions with CiCs, Upazila officials, and other key stakeholders,

  • She/he will act to promote the participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups

  • Overall, she/he will be responsible for the effective implementation of the project activities in the field on regular basis.
