Experience:
Master’s degree in Fisheries, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Marine Science, or a related field.
● At least 7–10 years of experience in leading large-scale consortium-based projects, preferably in marine conservation or livelihood development.
● Strong leadership, negotiation, and team-building skills.
● Proven experience in working with multi-stakeholder partnerships, including NGOs, INGOs, government agencies, and donors.
● Excellent communication and advocacy skills in English and Bangla.
● Strong understanding of gender and social inclusion principles.
● Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project and ensuring its successful implementation. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Leadership and Coordination
● Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Uttaran’s partners for effective project implementation.
● Act as the primary point of contact for all partner members, ensuring alignment with project goals and donor requirements.
● Facilitate regular partner meetings to review progress, address challenges, and plan activities.
● Represent the partners in national and international forums, promoting the project’s objectives and outcomes.
Project Management
● Oversee the development and execution of project work plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
● Monitor and evaluate project activities across all partners to ensure quality and impact.
● Foster collaboration among partners to leverage expertise and resources.
● Ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
Reporting and Documentation
● Prepare high-quality project reports, including progress updates, financial reports, and impact assessments, for submission to donors and stakeholders.
● Ensure the proper documentation and sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
● Develop advocacy materials to highlight project achievements and influence policy discussions.
Stakeholder Engagement
● Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, donors, private sector actors, and community representatives.
● Advocate for policy and institutional changes to support the sustainable management of marine resources.
● Promote gender equality and social inclusion in all aspects of the project.
Risk and Resource Management
● Identify potential risks to the project and implement mitigation strategies.
● Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of financial and human resources.
● Support capacity building for partner members and field teams.
Salary: 135,000.00 BDT, yearly 1 bonus and others as per project design.
