Job Context:
∎ CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women needing reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named "Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refugees coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with the Directorate of Social Welfare. CWFD formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people. ∎ Mission Statement: CWFD is a non-political, non-profit voluntary organization run by women of Bangladesh to support, promote and protect the interest of women in Bangladesh by providing community-based health care, empowering the community to exercise their rights to eliminate social injustice, creating economic opportunities, empower underprivileged youth of urban and rural population and develop human resources for a positive social change.
∎ Project Summary: At present, CWFD is going to implement a Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) project at 10 districts and 25 Upazilas in collaboration with Social Marketing Company (SMC).
∎ Job Location: CWFD HQ, Dhaka/ Barishal .
∎ Job Duration: Initial one year from August 2023 to July 2024 (Possibility of extension based on performance and budget).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be located at the CWFD HQ Dhaka/Barishal.
∎ Prepare monthly activity plan, organize and conducts" Pregnant Women Checkup. Shamabesh at the community level by the Community Mobilizer (CM) MMS/ Paramedics.
∎ Monitor all activities of the intervention areas, 10 districts, and 26 Upazilas, and supervise all field-level staff of the assigned district and Upazila.
∎ Prepare all kinds of project reports and documents, and submit them to the head office of CWFD and other respective offices on a regular basis.
∎ Maintain all kinds of liaison, coordination, and effective communication among the stakeholders, donor representatives, and other stakeholders for effective implementation of the project activities.
∎ Oversee the Women Entrepreneurs called Gold Star Members (GSMs) activities and support the team for undertaking knowledge and skills development initiatives.
∎ Provide technical support to create awareness and increase sales of public health products, especially Full Care & Forbon, to the Pregnant Women.
∎ Ensure that the CM, MMS, and Paramedics have completed their responsibilities of doing Ante Natal Checkups (ANC) of all pregnant Women within their working areas.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Have good facilitation, communication, networking, and team-building skills.
∎ Have good writing skills in preparing reports in both English and Bangla.
∎ Have experience in extensive field visits.
∎ Excellent computer literacy is a must.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
∎ The selected candidate will be offered Tk. 25,000/- with other benefits, i.e., Festival bonus, transportation bill, and mobile allowance.
