Job Context:

Marie Stopes Bangladesh also delivers family planning, safe MR, and sexual health services fulfilling the mission of children by choice, not by chance.
∎ MSB is looking for a Coordination & Communication Lead for leading and managing communication and partnership focused programs and projects that align with the strategic objectives of project and organization. He/she will maintain relationship with t government and other strategic stakeholders and will design, implement, monitor and provide strategic directions into all communication, advocacy and partnership related issues of the project and beyond. The position will be based in the Head Office, Dhaka with frequent travel to the field.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Candidate should be capable of identifying strategic opportunities, develop specific messages focusing on the targets and lead the MSB engagement.
∎ Candidate should have an experience in designing materials for advocacy and general communications.
∎ S/he can confidently represent MSB in donor focal groups to strengthen MSB engagement with key institutional donors.
∎ S/he needs to have excellent skills in providing effective leadership, strategic direction and business planning for achieving the goal and ensure the availability of the resources required for the achievement of the goals.
∎ S/he needs to be capable of planning, developing and setting organization and project/ programme specific advocacy objectives in respect of vision, mission & organization priorities.
∎ Candidate needs to be able to advocate and represent on behalf of the organization with external stakeholders and the media, both electronic, print and online..
∎ Candidates need to be able to plan, develop and monitor the utilization of communication & marketing tools (brochures, publications, press reviews, audio-visual as well as electronic documents) for the media, relevant bodies and public to establish and enhance the organization's image, and maintain good and close working relations with the media and other communication partners.
∎ Candidate should have skills in advising top management on public relations and communication issues and support top team to take steps to develop strategic international, national and regional collaborations/alliances/partnerships.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience with 5 years of working in advocacy, communications, and media work, preferably with development sector (NGO/INGO).
∎ Candidate should have a Master's Degree in Social sciences/Journalism/Development Studies/Communication/Gender & Women development/ English. Candidates having an MPH will be given preference.
∎ Team player, excellent interpersonal & communication skills, self- organizing capacity open to ideas and contributions from others.
