Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in cooking or performance chef course.
Job Context:
∎ As Hostel Cook, you will be responsible for arrange hygienic and healthy food to customers professional and customer-focus manner. Responsible for all customer overall wellness. Arrange and create a safe and friendly environment in all RI buildings. You will get more detail orientation from Hostel Assistant.
∎ Reporting to: Hostel Assistant
∎ Expected Start Date: January 1, 2020.
∎ Contract Length: 31st December, 2020
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
∎ Setting up menus and preparing high quality dishes by consult with Hostel assistant and maximize involvement of customer's opinion preparing high-quality dishes
∎ Cook food in a timely manner
∎ Delegate task to customer who would like to support kitchen
∎ Monitor food stock and place orders
∎ Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
∎ Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
∎ Ensure everybody in RI building has met their need and in healthy both physically and mentally.
∎ Close collaborate with other RI department and other services providers to support needs of customers
∎ Ensure written report to Hostel In-charge of the highest quality and completed in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure recognized international best practices and Relief International key policies and Code of Conduct.
∎ Any other responsibilities as requested by direct supervisor

∎ Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
∎ Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
∎ Excellent time management abilities
∎ Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes Familiarity with sanitation regulations

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
