Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitoring selected projects (Foreign Aided and GoB) and check compliance with project specific EMP/ ESCP and Environmental and Social Guideline.
∎ Monitor major Important Environmental Concerns (IECs) throughout a particular project cycle and ensure measures for the IECs and ensure mitigation
∎ Prepare complete report on EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment), EMP (Environmental Management Plan), IEE (Initial Environmental Examination) and other environment related study of project with necessary recommendation.
∎ Reviewing IEE. EIA and EMP reports and providing recommendation for its acceptance.
∎ Prepare a guideline/ template & checklist for review revaluation of IEE, EIA and EMP documents
∎ Assist Client to provide opinion on different environmental issues as per upcoming demand from other offices.
∎ Provide training of client officials on different environment related issues.
∎ Assist client in design, preparation, and presentation of training courses on environmental issues
∎ Assist client in updating environmental standards, guidelines and manuals and schedule of rates in RHD
∎ Carry out field visits for preparing/ checking EIA of ongoing projects of client.
∎ Planning and execution of field investigation works.
∎ Provide necessary guidelines and set of instructions required for specific field investigation works.
∎ Develop a site exploration checklist
∎ Suggest a set of standard tests required for environmental assessment with their standard value
∎ Identify environmental issues and constraints of client project planning stage, suggest alternatives options.
∎ Prepare and quantify baseline data related to environmental pollution regarding transportation sector of Bangladesh.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 65 years
∎ Minimum 12 (Twelve) years of experience in environment impact assessment for road/infrastructure projects.
∎ Knowledge of World Bank/ADB or any other foreign aided projects regarding Environmental and Social Issues.
∎ Minimum 3 years' experience as a team leader
Salary: Tk. 100000 - 120000 (Monthly)
