Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)

• Age 18 to 59 years

Experience:

• Essential, 2 years of previous experience in site supervision/engineering.

• Desirable, experience with international organization.

• Desirable, experience in health facilities construction.

Knowledge:

• Essential, Computer literacy (excel, word, email).

• Desirable, knowledge of computer assisted drawing software (Autocad, Revit).

Language:

• Essential, local language (Chittagonian) commandment and English.

Accountabilities:

• Supervising and monitoring on a day-to-day basis the implementation of the building and rehabilitation activities in the project ensuring compliance of MSF standards, protocols and procedures.  This includes the following tasks: 

  • Supervising and following up through regular visits the work of construction and/or rehabilitation in progress, in order to ensure deadlines, budget and technical specifications and to early detect potential deviations.

  • Negotiating agreements and permissions for construction/ rehabilitation projects, establishing regular contacts with local authorities, in order to ensure all required documentation is filled upon and to avoid delays.

  • Organizing and supervising calls for tenders activities in order to ensure the best technical and financial conditions.

• (if applicable) Supervising and leading the logistic team under his/her responsibility including the definition of each person's tasks (daily supervision and checking the quality of their work); drawing up working schedule; organizing and leading team meetings.

• Providing weekly activity reports and implementing reporting practices and protocols in order to ensure that all construction documentation is in order and all adequate stakeholders aware of the work’s progress.

• Performing delegated tasks according to his/her specialty and as specified in his/her job description.

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities:

• Controlling materials’ quality and keeping record of their validation.

• Ensuring safety and security is respected on the construction site.

• Organizing and facilitating weekly site meetings. Preparing and sharing minutes with adequate stakeholders.

• Festival Bonus: 2

• Contract duration : 6 months.

• Salary according to level Six (6) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 85500). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax compliances.

• 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on staff health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.

• 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.

• 20 weeks of maternity leave for our female staff.
