Experience:

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree from a recognized college / university with minimum 2nd division/class or GPA/CGPA 2.50 in all examinations. Educational qualification is relax able in case of over experienced candidates.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience of community mobilization preferably with NGO`s, working with low income people in urban slums sector. Working experience on WAB funded project will be given preference.

• Experience of community mobilization, preferably in terms of promotion hygiene and health in any development organization.

• She/he is expected to have sound knowledge on health and hygiene messages and understanding on good practices related to water and sanitation activities at the community level.

• Ability to take challenge; willingness of frequent field travel; capability of working under pressure and excellent communication skill are essential.

• Considering prior experience of working in WASH and familiarity with local context education may relaxed

• Have to be gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues.

• Ability to work under pressure.

Nature of job:

• Contractual, preliminary for 05 months/ up to project duration - October 2024 for Khulna / Satkhira
• Contractual, preliminary for 12 months/up to project duration - June 2025 for Paikgacha

Job Location: Khulna/ Satkhira / Paikgacha

Reporting To: Project Officer

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Ensured community participation in planning, implementation community-based monitoring of the project.
• Capacity building of CBOs, Volunteers and other community catalyst in line with sustainability.
• Ensure execution of soft and hardware activities with the involvement of CBOs.
• Monitoring of project activities and solving field problems.
• Able to take various kinds of sessions on hygiene promotion issue.
• Arrange and conduct need based training of different group of beneficiaries
• Conduct/ support in conducting sensitization/orientation on WASH for community groups.
• Ensure primary selection of sites and schools and other health care facilities for WASH services through donor guidelines and mobilize them for cost sharing for hardware constructions
• Promote safe WASH practices as well as appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services.
• Responsible for capacity development of community on WASH issues.
• Organize, supervise and evaluate the distribution of hygiene kit and water treatment kits and documentation of lessons learn related to hygiene behavior of the working community.
• Make and submit monthly target plan of assigned work.
• Perform the responsibility as and when assigned by the project/Program Focal person.

Salary Range: Monthly salary BDT 20000 - 22000 (approximate gross) with two festival bonus and annual salary increment as per policy
