Essential:

  • Experience in working with Humanitarian Response/Development sector/Livelihood sector.

  • Practical knowledge Social Mobilization Skill, Facilitation Skill, Reporting & Documentation, Monitoring & Evaluation Skill, Financial management, Decision making, Problem solving.

  • Excellent in Conflict resolution, Leadership, Self-development.

  • Excellent knowledge in Reading / Writing/Speaking/Listening in English & Bengali.

  • Ability to communicate in Local Chittagong/Rohingya dialect is must.

  • Proven Expertise in Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively

  • Disposition of a team player.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in Basic Photographic Skill, Project Implementation Skill, Planning, analytical and organizational skills, Staff Management.

  • Excellent in Coordination/Advocacy/Networking/Communication Skills



Responsibilities & Context:

Implementation & Management of Field Level Activities - 60%

  • Ensure the implementation of all livelihood-related components of the project.

  • Conduct a survey to select rightsholders according to the guideline for the project.

  • Formation & Functioning of self-help Groups.

  • Organize and facilitate field-level training for the right holders.

  • Assist the project team to provide technical support on livelihood-related activities.

  • Collect and analyze information on the context for livelihoods.

  • Conduct livelihood analysis at the cluster and household level.

  • Develop individual, need-based and appropriate household business plan.

  • Design individual, need-based and appropriate IGA training plan.

  • Arrange IGA training for project participants.

  • Provide input support and on field solutions to the rightsholders

  • Follow up IGA of each project participant.

  • Documentation and Reporting.

  • Monitor and supervise the field-level project activities

  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of IGA and develop linkage with local markets

  • Collect and analyze information on the context for livelihoods.

  • Develop an individual, need-based and appropriate household business plan.

Advocacy, Networking and Communication - 20%

  • Establish network with the government agriculture department, livestock department and other service providers to bring the project participants under various GO & NGOs support.

  • Establish network with local GO, NGO bodies and link their facilities with our project participants.

  • Enhance market linkage with the local markets and value addition.

  • Strengthening existing community groups & networks

  • Organize knowledge sharing and technology transferring sessions in collaboration with other livelihood actors.

Reporting and Documentation - 10%

  • Ensure accurate record keeping and systematic documentation & filing.

  • Provide information for monthly, interim, final reports and sectoral reports.

  • Collect case stories from the field.

  • Document best practices and lesson learnings.

  • Collect visual documentation of agricultural activities

  • Maintain proper documentation - event reports, success stories etc.

Materials Development - 05%

  • Develop flip charts, and different awareness materials for field level trainings.

  • Develop training module on IGA trainings.

Others - 05%

  • Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.

  • Take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff and participants during the intervention.

  • Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child

  • Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
