Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline, Master of Development Studies (MDS), Master of Social Science (MSS)

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation & Management of Field Level Activities-50%
∎ Ensure the implementation of all activities of the project and manage those
∎ Assist the project team to provide technical support to accomplish the livelihood-related activities;
∎ Collect all kinds of the necessary information and analyze those in the context of livelihood related interventions
∎ Select the project beneficiaries/ participants to support them in improving their socio-economic condition
∎ Assist the project participants to open an individual bank account;
∎ Conduct livelihood analysis at the village and household level;
∎ Develop individual, need-based, and appropriate household business plan;
∎ Design individual, need-based, and appropriate IGA (Income Generating Activities) training plan & IGA tracking;
∎ Provide IGA training and refresher for project participants;
∎ Follow up IGA of each project participant;
∎ Prepare a service map of the project area;
∎ Design and develop new IGA training as per the need of project participants;
∎ Facilitate to form and undertake regular activities of the SHGs (Self- Help Groups);
∎ Facilitate quarterly/ monthly sessions/meetings with SHGs;
∎ Mobilize SHG-led savings and Quard al Hasana (a kind of interest-free loan);
∎ Conduct community consultation and need assessment for productivity and other activities for economic growth;
∎ Build capacity of SHG leaders on leadership, SHG management, and financial management;
∎ Promote environment-friendly cooking system at household level (Bondhu Chula)
∎ Promote healthy cooking practice, hand washing, use of sanitary latrine, and using safe water for drinking & cooking
∎ Promote waste management and compost production at the household and community level
∎ Conduct awareness sessions on current issues health (Covid 19) & other issues and social problems
∎ Undertake initiatives for observing national and international days
∎ Ensure numeracy and literacy education of SHG members;
∎ Facilitate to accomplish MEAL activities at the field level
∎ Attend meetings, workshops at different levels
∎ Advocacy, Networking, and Communication-20%
∎ Create linkages with Local Government Institutes (LGIs - Union Parishad) and Upazila administration to support integrating the project participants under various Govt. social safety-net schemes;
∎ Establish networking with LGIs, GO bodies, NGOs and facilitate to create of a link among our project participants their facilities
∎ Establish linkage with local service providers;
∎ Enhance market linkage and value addition;
∎ Stimulate local elites and other civil society members;
∎ Strengthen existing community groups & networks
∎ Reporting and Documentation-10%
∎ Ensure accurate record-keeping and systematic documentation & filing;
∎ Provide information for monthly, interim and final reports;
∎ Collect case stories from the field;
∎ Document lesson learnings and best practices
∎ Document the challenges and overcoming strategies
∎ Facilitate to document the base, mid and end-line evaluation, and other MEAL interventions
∎ Maintain proper process documentation - event reports, success stories, etc.
∎ Materials Development-10%
∎ Develop livelihood and other awareness building-related materials to provide training to the project participants
∎ Develop training module and other relevant materials on IGA and other training;
∎ Other Requirement-10%
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendation of visitors is addressed.
∎ Promote the health and security of the staff of the designated project(s) by ensuring the application of security guidelines, health and safety in the workplace, and healthy living conditions and practices
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Responsible for seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if require.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required. 10%

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working with Child Rights-based approaches; Rights-based approach, Livelihood, women empowerment, and Adolescent development
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Adobe Photoshop/ Basic Internet/ etc.
