Additional Requirements: Academic Qualification
Essential
• Minimum three-year degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Desirable
• Academic background in Social Work, Social Welfare, Sociology, Development Studies, or another relevant social science discipline.
• Post-graduate diploma in a related subject.
Sectoral Experience
Essential
Minimum 2 years’ work experience in WASH, hygiene promotion, community mobilization, and behavior change activities.

Responsibilities & Context: Implementation & Management of Field Level Activities- 50%
- Conduct door-to-door household survey to identify the most vulnerable beneficiaries at Ukhiya camps.
- Conduct FGD with different stockholders and communities.
- Organized various assessments like PDM, KAP survey, and KII as per project need.
- Identifying suitable sites for Shelter and NFI activity implementation at Ukhiya camps.
- Ensure token distribution for Shelter kits distribution accordingly.
- Ensure daily attendance for casual labour & approved volunteer in Shelter activities.
- Prepare a beneficiary list, Muster roll and distribution/hand over copy etc.
- Close communication with Majhi, community leader, SMS, protection, & other stakeholders.
- Casual labour management for construction/repairing work.
- To collect various eligible lists for distributing Shelter Kits, NFI & SSL kits.
- From the community lead volunteer group, SSL group and SD committee in FDMNs community.
- Supervise the beneficiary’s identification as per fixed selection criteria and by the methodology fixed by IR.
- Select the most appropriate site for the construction of Shelter & SD infrastructure at the Ukhiya camp and host community.
- Finalize the beneficiary by ensuring assessment report to endorsement and validation from relevant authorities.
- To monitor hardware activities according to the monitoring checklist.
- Ensure inclusive assistance of Shelter & NFI support, market access and protection lens.
- Prepare individual work plans according to project activity.
- Ensure safe disposal of Shelter waste at Camps.
- Ensure PSEA, safeguarding, and CFRM in project activity implementation.
- Prepare a business plan at the community level and execute it.
- Follow the individual work plan for quality control of project activities.
- Reading proposals and organizational guidelines and act accordingly.
- Ensure that standards and instructions are given by the line manager and Islamic Relief Bangladesh procedures.
- Assist in PDM to shelter & NFI support as well as data input.
Mobilize the FDMN community- 25%
- Conduct awareness sessions in connection with project objectives and goals in the sector.
- Awareness raising for the HHs and community.
- Disseminate different IEC materials related to Shelter technical guidance.
- Formation & Functional of different user groups (SSL & SD).
- Collect feedback & complain from the community.
Networking and coordination with different stakeholders- 15%
- Assist in organizing inception meetings at different levels.
- Assist in organizing various working relationship-building orientations and training.
- Formulation of the project implementation committee.
- Ensure the NoC after the selection of the scheme with relevant stakeholders.
- Effective communication with Majhi at the FDMN community in Ukhiya camp and host community
- Involve Majhi and government representatives in the implementation of the project.
- Networking with different stakeholders.
- Referral linkages with other organizations for protection & sectoral services
Others- 10%
- Participate & involve with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
- Assist to take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff, volunteers and participants during the intervention.
- Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
