Educational Requirements:
∎ Literacy essential. An internal MSF training on health messages will be necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare material and deliver health education sessions, messages and topics addressed to different populations regarding hygiene, diseases and prevention.
∎ Ensure all the patients and caretakers are well informed, according to protocols, about health related issues and services provided.
∎ Monitor health situation and living conditions of the population by conducting nutritional screening, collecting information related to food security, checking vaccination status of children, looking actively for any defaulters in programs that re-quire this type of research, collecting information on number of people arriving or leaving the community, births and deaths in the community, etc.
∎ Identify people with medical problems, contact with medical team and report for immediate transfer if needed. He/she has to inform to the line manager about any problem encountered (population, equipment, material…).
∎ Report to line manager of all results of screening and visits on a regular basis.
∎ MSF Section/Context Specific Accountability
∎ Give health education lessons to patients while in the hospital and OPD.
∎ Communicate clinic routines to the patients (why they have to wait, why there is triage and why not all patients can be seen).
∎ Assist the crowd controllers as needed to ensure smooth patient flow.
∎ Ensure patients understand how to follow hygienic measures and waste management in the clinic.
∎ Inform the line manager of any irregularity.
∎ Represent MSF-OCA with regard to its code and conduct, principles and values.
∎ Share relevant security information with the supervisor or expat team.
∎ Participate in relevant meetings and training.
∎ Perform all activities in manner that demonstrates respect for the individual and maintains patient confidentiality.
∎ Assist in other health care activities and emergency response activities in and out of the clinic as requested.
∎ Work in registration, pharmacy, crowd control, or clinic administrator as requested for roster gap for Covid-19 and non-Covid-19 locations.
∎ Showing flexibility in terms of working in an emergency set up to deal with COVID-19.
∎ Being able to adapt to stress precipitated by unknown circumstances as a result of an outbreak.
∎ Willing to work extra hours and days when asked by the manager, beyond the normal working hours.
∎ Willing to work in different shifts; Night and Day shifts and also long 12 to 14 hour shifts.
∎ Being flexible to work in different areas of MSF’s COVID-19 facility and making sure to care for patients as required.
∎ Being prepared to relocate to Ukhyia district while working for the COVID-19 response.
∎ Work well and coordinate with the medical team in terms of dealing with high number of patients.
∎ Able to speak the local dialect in addition to the dialect spoken by the Rohingya.
