Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Educate the Most Disadvantaged Children (EMDC) Project in Bancharampur and Nasirnagar Upazila under Brahmanbaria district supported by UNICEF. The present project tenure is up to December 2026.
∎ The proposed intervention is a five-year project to address the most disadvantaged out-of-school children in Brahmanbaria. The programme aims to enable disadvantaged children aged 7 to 14 to gain foundational skills composed of basic literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional and life skills. There will be two types of interventions; Catch-up programme for the new dropouts due to COVID who will return to formal education within 6 to 10 months and Multi-grade Multi-level Non-Formal Primary Education for regular dropout children. Universalization of girls in a particular location and inclusion of children with disabilities need to be prioritized throughout the project period.
∎ The duration of the project is 60 months and the job is contractual for the project period with a 3 months probation period. The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Project locations at Bancharampur or Nasirnagar Upazila in Brahmanbaria district with substantial field activities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Community, Family Engagement and Advocacy Coordinator person is responsible for carrying out the advocacy work with the relevant government institutions and getting the job engaging government officials and relevant stakeholders. S/he will cooperate and support PC to get optimum level of collaboration and assistance from the relevant government institutions. S/he also mobilize the community in favour of creating and support the learning center. He/she will also be responsible for the capacity building interventions, including module and course curriculum development, creation of tools/methodologies/guidelines and handholding support to the field staffs and other stakeholders. S/he will bear his/her responsibilities under direct supervision and guidelines of the Project Coordinator of EMDC project, FIVDB.
∎ Description of Responsibilities
∎ Develop community mobilization, community partnership strategy along with implementation plan for operating CLCs in project catchment areas;
∎ Prepare a detail program implementation plan for the project for operating advocacy, community awareness and media campaign.
∎ Identify the important issues from the vulnerable areas for implementation with input from the technical team of Donor and design activities according to project needs.
∎ Provide regular support and supervision to the field employees for community mobilization and advocacy components.
∎ Support fields in organizing awareness programs.
∎ Assist to conduct capacity assessment and prepare an inventory for the community mobilization and advocacy component's employees.
∎ Assist in developing different training courses and training materials for the project in the areas of community mobilization and advocacy.
∎ Assist the Project Coordinator/Upazila Coordinators in maintaining a good relationship with Divisional/District and Upazila Administration and DPE officials for smooth operation of the program.
∎ Arrange roundtables addressing ground level realities identified through community and district levels partnerships.
∎ Provide technical support in preparing documentary and success stories;
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ Perform any other assignment given by the project management and the organization.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply

∎ Acquire knowledge on Gender sensibility and organizational Gender Policy and act accordingly
∎ Child Protection and PSEA Policy
∎ Acquire knowledge on Child Development and organizational Child Protection Policy and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Policy and act accordingly.
∎ Conceptual understanding and technical knowledge on formal and non-formal education, Community Mobilization and Education Equity.
∎ Proficient in Computer software such as MS-Office, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
∎ Skills in Training and Facilitation.
∎ Supportive, supervision and motivation skills.
∎ Ability to work under stressful situations and meet deadlines;

Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
