Job Context:
∎ Duration of contract : 1 year
∎ Duty Station : Unions of Fulchari Upazila in Gaibandha District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Tracking the project output and activity budget and plan and organize all types of field activities as per the project operational plan
∎ Play a significant role to create community ownership and management.
∎ Mobilize community to increase awareness on disaster risks by improving household and community level preparedness and early actions
∎ Assist DMCs regular activities (monthly meeting etc.) in order to keep them functioning
∎ Planning, mobilizing and monitoring of all kind of construction work related to DRR &WASH initiated by UDMC/VDMC
∎ Functioning Village Disaster Management Committee(VDMCs) members & Emergency Response Team (ERTs) members
∎ Supervise and monitor field sessions conducted by local volunteers
∎ Cross check and validate all beneficiary list prepared by DMCs
∎ Assist project Engineer to settle payments of civil work done by DMCs
∎ Develop relation with other organisation and community leaders working in the same area
∎ Convey all field related information to the line manager related to project design and fine tuning of the activities
∎ Establish BDRCS's positive image by ensuring transparency, accountability and prompt action by supporting vulnerable community people
∎ Innovate new ideas those are mostly match with the project context in line with local culture and practice
∎ Any other duties assigned by the line manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (for a highly potential candidate this can be minimized)
∎ Good computer skills including MS Office, internet browsing and web-based data collection software
∎ Demonstrated experience in community mobilization and event organization
∎ Knowledge and skills in participatory planning and learning sharing process
∎ Committed to work under pressure and flexible to handle complex situation with limited resources
∎ Clear understanding and experience to work with local government structure is desirable
∎ Having valid driving license is must.
∎ 40 years maximum (age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate)
Salary: Tk. 31483 (Monthly)
