∎ Master’s Degree in Sociology, social work, anthropology, development studies, or other related disciplines.
∎ Extensive professional knowledge on community dynamics, leadership structure, cultural sensitivity and inclusivity for promoting an enabling environment and responsiveness.
∎ Strong Knowledge on social dimension, structure of the government including laws and policies formulation process, power dynamics, government relations.
∎ Attitude that is team focused with the skills and ability to work independently and collaborate among an interdepartmental collaborative environment.
∎ Supervisor/Management, Interpersonal, organizational savvy, Problem solving, negotiation, communication and collaborative skills, time management, management ability
∎ At least 6 to 8 years’ of experience working in the field of community empowerment through strengthening, engagement and ownership development specially field of youth development.
∎ Should have work experience in concerned division and local level language proficiency for ensuring better communication with beneficiaries.
∎ Extensive experience working with relevant government agencies as well as local and international NGOs

Responsibilities & Context:

∎ Facilitate training, workshops, coaching, and mentoring others.
∎ Ensure community empowerment through strengthening, engagement and ownership development specially field of youth development.
∎ Demonstration of life skills/soft skills, employability skills and socio emotional behavior with special focus on manual design.
∎ World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) is gearing up for an exciting initiative, the EARN project, aimed at enhancing access to education and relevant skills development opportunities for NEET youth in the Rangpur division. This significant endeavor will be undertaken in joint venture with UCEP, focusing on a broad range of activities including community engagement, socio-emotional training, and direct employment support for the youth. The project is poised to make a substantial impact on the local community by fostering inclusion, supporting gender and social norms, and improving childcare facilities in VLTCs to facilitate greater participation in WVB's programs.
∎ The purpose of this position is to lead community mobilization and socio-emotional training initiatives.
∎ Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project. Bangladeshi national candidates and females are highly encouraged to apply. The anticipated duration of the contract will be 48 months from the date of joining.
∎ Key Deliverables:
∎ The Community Engagement and Socio-Emotional Behavior Specialist will bring extensive expertise in understanding community dynamics, leadership structures, and cultural sensitivity to foster inclusive environments. He/she should be proficient in facilitating training, workshops, and mentoring, with a strong background in life skills, employability skills, and socio-emotional behavior for the youth, women, and disadvantaged groups. Besides, he/she should be capable of collaborating in multidisciplinary teams and handling diverse tasks to support holistic community and youth (especially NEET youth) wellbeing.
