∎ Master’s Degree in preferably in Social Sciences /Communication or relevant discipline.
∎ Excellent knowledge & skills of rapport building, networking, liaison and relationship building for communication and advocacy.
∎ Strong Knowledge on social dimension, structure of the government including laws and policies formulation process, power dynamics, government relations.
∎ Attitude that is team focused with the skills and ability to work independently and collaborate among an interdepartmental collaborative environment
∎ Supervisor/Management, Interpersonal, organizational savvy, Problem solving, negotiation, communication and collaborative skills, time management, management ability
∎ Strong understanding of media crisis situation in Bangladesh and current GO/NGO mechanisms to address this
∎ Strong written and oral communication skill
∎ Critical thinking, Creative and innovative thinking skills
∎ Proven ability to write and produce publications
∎ At least 6 to 8 years’ experience preferably in communication, advocacy in youth development, women empowerment, social norms and gender Inclusion.
∎ Demonstrated/ Proven experience in working with inter- departmental, cross –organizational and cross-cultural teams

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) is gearing up for an exciting initiative, the EARN project, aimed at enhancing access to education and relevant skills development opportunities for NEET youth in the Rangpur division. This significant endeavour will be undertaken in joint venture with UCEP, focusing on a broad range of activities including community engagement, socio-emotional training, and direct employment support for the youth. The project is poised to make a substantial impact on the local community by fostering inclusion, supporting gender and social norms, and improving childcare facilities in VLTCs to facilitate greater participation in WVB's programs.
∎ The purpose of this position is to lead communications and awareness campaigns.
∎ Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project. Bangladeshi national candidates and females are highly encouraged to apply. The anticipated duration of the contract will be 48 months from the date of joining.
∎ Key Deliverables:
∎ The Communication Specialist needs to be proficient in devising and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance program’s visibility and engagement as well as advocate for youth development, women empowerment, and gender Inclusion. He/she also needs to be skilled in managing media relations, internal and external communications, and crisis management effectively. The successful applicant for this position should have expertise in fostering positive public perception and maintaining cohesive messaging across platforms.
