Job Context:
∎ USAID`s AUHC activity has transformed the NGO managed Surjer Hashi clinics network into a private social enterprise, and has placed it on a solid pathway to becoming a stronger organization, steadily growing its revenue and customer base, and continuing to improve quality of services offered to its clients. In its 6th and final year of implementation, AUHC is extending marketing communications and branding support to strengthen SHN`s brand awareness and value propositions for client acquisition and retention. During the final months of the project, AUHC will be prioritizing several large-scale communications activities including, but not limited to, outdoor branding of clinics, development of training/e-learning content, and the execution of a health industry conference.
∎ The Communications Specialist will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with periodic travel required throughout the country based on project needs.
∎ This would be a full-time consultancy for 5 months (approximate level of effort is 100 days).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Communications Specialist will work under the supervision of the Technical Advisor - CLA (collaborating, learning, and adapting), Communications and Advocacy to provide communications and outreach support for AUHC's activities. The specialist will ensure that all communications products are of the highest quality and are consistent with AUHC's results, and adhere to USAID and Chemonics' policies, including the branding and marking plan. Specific illustrative tasks include but are not limited to:
∎ Apply USAID's branding and marking regulations and other communication guidelines to AUHC activities and its materials.
∎ Collaborate closely with advertising/marketing firms and AUHC subcontractors to implement marketing, communications, branding initiatives for the Surjer Hashi Network.
∎ Assist the Technical Advisor - CLA, Communications and Advocacy in creating and communicating a consistent and compelling brand identity of SHN, under USAIDs branding guidelines, and Chemonics guidelines, across different channels and platforms. A major part of this role will be the supervision of a large-scale branding activity for SHN clinics, and the towns where these clinics are located.
∎ Content creation
∎ Assist in the development of communications and outreach products that are fact-based, people-focused and highlight impact of the project. Must have the ability to create engaging and informative content that attracts and retains target audiences, such as blog posts, case studies, social media posts, newsletters, videos, scripts, etc. Perfect English and Bangla writing, translating, and editing skills are necessary.
∎ The ability to generate concept notes, copywriting, creating campaign performance reports, press releases, and social media captions is required.
∎ Manage and oversee the production and delivery of high-quality and engaging content across various channels and platforms. Existing relationships with media outlets will be required, and key for the success of this role.
∎ Event management:
∎ Support the planning, organization and implementation of events, including the end of project conference, and occasional workshops or webinars. Coordination with external stakeholders, and production houses, and maintain timelines will be critical for this role. These events will be primary public health related. The specialist will be expected to help manage event logistics and handle any issues or unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
∎ The specialist will also coordinate with the Operations Team to assist in event management related tasks for project's events site visits, venue finalization, and branding.
∎ Travel outside of Dhaka will be required to assess and document project activities and gather information for communications products.
∎ Assist with any other tasks assigned by the Technical Advisor, CLA, Communications, and Advocacy.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in brand, events, and content management
∎ Familiarity with USAID's Branding and Marking guidelines, and the USAID Graphics Standards Manual.
∎ Proven experience managing high-level industry events.
∎ Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and design.
∎ Advanced Proficiency in the use of MS Office 365 suite, Adobe, and Figma.
∎ Good interpersonal skills, honesty, and commitment to excellence.
∎ Demonstrates leadership, versatility, and integrity.
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English - with strong ability to write in English.
