Responsibilities & Context:

Nature of Job: Project Staff.

Job Location: UCEP Dhaka North (Mirpur-Dhaka), UCEP Dhaka South(Jatrabari-Dhaka) and UCEP Gazipur Region.

Job Purpose: The ADVANTAGE Project aims to advance gender equality in Bangladesh’s skills development and employment ecosystem. Despite notable economic growth, the country’s labour market remains highly informal and unequal particularly disadvantaging women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. The project, seeks to promote gender-transformative change by enhancing the participation of young, disadvantaged women in technical and vocational education and formal employment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement an advocacy and communication strategy aligned with the project’s goal of promoting gender equality in TVET and employment for ADVANTAGE project.

  • Identify key policy gaps and communication opportunities to influence stakeholders, government bodies, and private sector actors.

  • Coordinate and facilitate policy dialogues, advocacy forums, and roundtable discussions involving NSDA, BTEB, BMET, and other relevant ministries.

  • Support the planning and execution of advocacy events for women's inclusion in the skills and employment ecosystem.

  • Assist in organizing and participating in joint monitoring visits with government officials, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.

  • Lead the development of policy briefs, background papers, and advocacy materials that reflect project findings and promote gender-inclusive policies.

  • Collaborate with technical experts and the MAEL team to gather insights and evidence for policy recommendations.

  • Coordinate the design, layout, and printing of communication materials for events and briefings.

  • Develop key advocacy messages, press releases, media kits, and communication content for events and campaigns that highlight project achievements and gender equality messages.

  • Coordinate media engagement and coverage for high-level events such as the national exit seminar/roundtable and major advocacy forums.

  • Ensure alignment and consistency of all communication materials with project branding and donor visibility guidelines.

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, government representatives, private sector actors, and civil society allies to support advocacy goals.

  • Represent the project in external advocacy platforms, networks, and coalition meetings promoting women’s economic empowerment.

  • Track advocacy outcomes, including stakeholder commitments and policy shifts, and contribute to project learning reports and donor reports.

  • Document lessons learned and success stories related to advocacy, policy influence, and government collaboration.

  • Maintain an archive of communication and advocacy materials, event documentation, and media coverage.

Job Other Benifits:

    Monthly Consolidated Salary: 25,000/-. TDS (Tax deducted at source) and any other statutory deductions will be applied as per government rules and UCEP policies.
