Responsibilities & Context:
Content review:
- Overseeing the review of content to ensure it's accurate, relevant, and meets the publication's standards
Editorial leadership:
- Providing editorial leadership and guidance to ensure the publication's content reflects its vision and values.
Team management:
- Recruiting, managing, and performing evaluations of associate editors and other editorial team members
Policy setting:
- Establishing policies and guidelines for authors and manuscripts, including guidelines for authorship, conflict of interest, and ethical conduct
Collaboration:
- Working with the lead editor or other editors to shape the final product and ensure it meets the publication's goals
Communication:
- Facilitating communication between all parties involved in the publication process
