Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

NECX, in collaboration with Troubleshoot Limited, is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to lead the security architecture of mission-critical systems. You'll secure real-time communication platforms that serve government agencies, justice organizations, and other public-good services. This role bridges DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, and compliance — ideal for someone passionate about secure engineering and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and secure Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform

  • Manage and harden Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Blob Storage, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, and Container Registry

  • Own the end-to-end security of GitHub Actions pipelines, including secret management, deployment gating, and artifact signing

  • Implement secure access control, including RBAC, JWT, OAuth, and private endpoints

  • Monitor systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and metric-based alerting

  • Enforce secure CI/CD pipelines, app deployments, and DevOps automation for web, backend (Node.js, Express), and mobile (Flutter) systems

  • Lead initiatives for SOC2, CJIS, and GDPR compliance readiness, including documentation and technical controls

  • Collaborate with developers on secure coding, infrastructure architecture, and incident response

  • Perform cost-monitoring and suggest optimization strategies for cloud resources

  • Set up VPNs, TLS policies, disk encryption, and secure communication protocols

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security, DevSecOps, or infrastructure security roles

  • Must have professional experience managing Azure cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines

  • Solid understanding of secure app architecture, compliance controls, and DevOps automation
