We are looking to hire a female applicant with at least 10 years of NGO experience and at least 3 years of high-level management experience involving training and management of a staff team.

The City Manager will work closely with the Country Director to oversee and manage all staff and programs of the Girls Empowerment Program’s (GEP) operations in Khulna City. This includes our Junior Dormitory housing more than 60 girls in grades 8-12; our College GEP which handles the education of more than 350 young women in various forms of higher education around Bangladesh; two Senior Dormitories which house more than 120 young women in higher education; and other aspects of our GEP as assigned by the Country Director.

The City Manager will be part of the Management Team of the entire GEP and work in close partnership with Manager Level staff of each of the GEP departments.

Primary responsibilities in this role will include managing and training mid-level and junior level staff; managing the accounting and budgeting for various GEP programs; handling high-level decision-making across the city programs; and setting the tone of professional management of our operations.

Secondary responsibilities may include developing our fundraising network inside Bangladesh; networking with government officials in Khulna City and Dhaka to further our organizational objectives; and otherwise representing Speak Up Bangladesh in a professional capacity in various events.

The City Manager will work in close partnership under the direction of Speak Up Bangladesh’s Country Director to accomplish these goals.
