• Full-time residence in the Speak Up Bangladesh Senior Dormitory.

• Experience counseling, mentoring, or training young women.

• Emotional maturity and stability to be an example for young women.

• Experience managing a staff team.

• Computer skills to manage an office, budget, and program expenses.

• A passion for working with disadvantaged populations and for girls empowerment .

• Moderate English speaking ability.

Job Description:

The Senior Dorm In charge will lead a team of 1-2 full-time staff to manage all aspects of the Senior Dormitory operated by Speak Up Bangladesh in Khulna. This dormitory currently house between 100-120 young women in grades HSC through higher education, ages 18 to 24.

Responsibilities:

The main job duties of the Senior Dormitory Manager will include: 

• Managing the mentoring and personal development of up to 120 dormitory residents.

• Overseeing the educational progress of dormitory residents.

• Leading a team of 1-2 other dormitory staff to handle all Senior Dormitory functions.

• Coordinating the Senior Dormitory with other programs run by Speak Up Bangladesh.

• Field visits to dormitory residents’ homes and communication with parents and family.

• Ensuring a safe, healthy, and vibrant environment in the Senior Dormitory.

• Managing all Senior Dorm issues, including rules and procedures, room assignments, meal systems, dormitory upkeep, disciplinary issues, and administrative functions.

• Reporting to the Speak Up Bangladesh Country Director.

• Coordination with the College Department of Speak Up Bangladesh.
