∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Master’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, anthropology, women’s studies, early childhood development or other related disciplines.
∎ Clear knowledge and demonstrating expertise in offering supervisory oversight within Child Care Centers and providing guidance to caregivers and parents.
∎ Strong Knowledge on social dimension, structure of the government including laws and policies formulation process, power dynamics, government relations.
∎ Attitude that is team focused with the skills and ability to work independently and collaborate among an interdepartmental collaborative environment.
∎ Holistic Understanding of poverty and development
∎ Ability to influence, network and collaborate with GO/ NGOs
∎ Strong analytical skills, political awareness and judgment
∎ At least 6 to 8 years’ relevant work experience in any reputable national/ international NGO/relevant agencies in a similar position.
∎ Have at least 5 years of experience as a Childcare Professional, demonstrating expertise in offering supervisory oversight within Child Care Centers and providing guidance to caregivers and parents.
∎ Extensive experience working with relevant government agencies as well as local and international NGOs
∎ Proven management ability & Proven experience as a team player

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) is gearing up for an exciting initiative, the EARN project, aimed at enhancing access to education and relevant skills development opportunities for NEET youth in the Rangpur division. This significant endeavour will be undertaken in joint venture with UCEP, focusing on a broad range of activities including community engagement, socio-emotional training, and direct employment support for the youth. The project is poised to make a substantial impact on the local community by fostering inclusion, supporting gender and social norms, and improving childcare facilities in VLTCs to facilitate greater participation in WVB's programs.
∎ The purpose of this position is to optimize and oversee childcare support structures at training locations.
∎ Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project. Bangladeshi national candidates and females are highly encouraged to apply. The anticipated duration of the contract will be 48 months from the date of joining.
∎ Key Deliverables:
∎ The Childcare Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children participating in our programs. They will develop and implement high-quality childcare practices that foster healthy development, learning, and well-being. This includes creating age-appropriate activities, maintaining a stimulating and clean environment, and collaborating with parents/guardians to ensure continuity of care. Their passion for child development and strong communication skills will be essential in building trusting relationships with children, caregivers, and other staff.
