We’re Hiring: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Raco AI Technologies is seeking an exceptional Chief Technology Officer to lead our technical vision, strategy, and execution. We’re Bangladesh’s first AI-based UK company, pioneering enterprise automation solutions across emerging markets with a mission to democratize technology for businesses globally.

The Role: Chief Technology Officer

As our CTO, you will be the architect of our technical future and the leader of our engineering organization. This is not a hands-off executive role—we need a technical visionary who codes, makes critical architectural decisions, and builds world-class engineering teams. 

Strategic Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Vision

• Define the long-term technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and market opportunities 

• Make critical architectural decisions for scalability, security, and performance across multi market deployments 

• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks) that provide competitive advantage 

• Establish technology standards, best practices, and engineering excellence across the organization 

• Build partnerships with technology providers, cloud platforms, and AI/ML vendors

Product & Engineering Leadership

• Own the technical product roadmap and ensure alignment with customer needs and market demands 

• Lead the design and development of AI-powered automation platform serving millions of users across emerging markets 

• Establish engineering culture focused on innovation, quality, and rapid iteration 

• Build and scale engineering team from 5 to 50+ engineers across multiple locations (UK and Bangladesh) 

• Mentor and develop engineering talent, creating clear career paths and growth opportunities

• Implement agile development practices, continuous integration/deployment, and quality assurance frameworks 

Market Expansion & Localization

• Lead technical strategy for Bangladesh market entry and pilot programs 

• Design solutions that work in emerging market contexts (connectivity, infrastructure, regulatory compliance) 

• Plan technical architecture for scaling from Bangladesh to UK and European markets by Year 3 

• Navigate multi-market regulatory requirements (data privacy, compliance, localization) Build technical partnerships with local providers and international platforms 

Business Impact & Execution

• Drive product-market fit through rapid experimentation and customer feedback loops 

• Translate market opportunities and customer pain points into technical requirements and product features 

• Manage technology budget and resource allocation for maximum ROI 

• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure customer success and retention 

• Establish KPIs and metrics to track engineering productivity, product performance, and business impact 

• Drive innovation while maintaining execution velocity and time-to-market

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Code Review & Architecture: Actively review critical code, make architectural decisions, and maintain technical standards 

• Team Leadership: Conduct 1-on-1s with direct reports, provide mentorship, and drive performance management 

• Strategic Planning: Quarterly planning sessions with leadership team on technology roadmap and resource allocation 

• Customer Engagement: Participate in customer calls to understand technical requirements and validate product-market fit 

• Technology Evaluation: Assess new tools, frameworks, and platforms; make build vs. buy decisions

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Sales, and Operations teams on go-to-market strategy 

• Hiring & Recruitment: Lead recruitment of senior engineering talent and build high performing teams 

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability challenges

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Expertise

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in technical leadership (CTO, VP Engineering, Principal Architect, or equivalent) 

• Proven expertise building and scaling SaaS, B2B software, or enterprise automation platforms 

• Strong cloud architecture knowledge: AWS, Azure, or GCP; experience with microservices, serverless, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) 

• Full-stack capability: Understanding of frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure layers 

• AI/ML Integration: Experience integrating machine learning models, predictive analytics, or AI capabilities into production systems 

• Database & Data Architecture: Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), and data pipeline architecture 

• API Design & Integration: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, third-party integrations, and system interoperability 

• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of data security, encryption, compliance frameworks (GDPR, local regulations), and secure coding practices

Leadership & Team Building

• Team Building: Proven track record building and scaling engineering teams from 5 to 50+ engineers 

• Mentorship: Experience mentoring engineers, developing talent, and creating career growth paths 

• Organizational Design: Ability to structure teams, define roles, and establish clear accountability

• Communication: Excellent communication skills—comfortable engaging with board, investors, customers, and technical teams 

• Decision Making: Strategic thinker who balances innovation with execution, makes decisions under uncertainty 

Startup & Growth Experience

• Startup/Scale-up Background: Series A-C stage experience or equivalent high-growth environment 

• Rapid Iteration: Comfortable moving fast, iterating based on customer feedback, and shipping quickly 

• Resource Constraints: Experience building products with limited resources and maximizing ROI 

• Cross-functional Ownership: Willingness to wear multiple hats and contribute beyond pure technical leadership 

• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Passion for building products, solving customer problems, and creating business value 

Emerging Markets & Global Experience

• Emerging Markets Knowledge: Understanding of emerging market dynamics, infrastructure constraints, and localization requirements 

• Multi-market Expansion: Experience scaling products across different geographies and regulatory environments 

• Distributed Teams: Experience leading distributed engineering teams across time zones and cultures 

• Adaptability: Comfort working in ambiguous environments with limited precedent or playbooks 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fintech, edtech, or enterprise automation platforms 

• Background in multi-tenant SaaS architecture and platform scaling 

• Knowledge of emerging market infrastructure, connectivity, and payment systems Experience with performance optimization and building for low-bandwidth environments Familiarity with regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions

• Track record of successful product launches and market expansion 

• Experience with open-source technologies and community engagement
