Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 20 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Shipping

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the overall management of the day to day operations of the Port Agency department
∎ Oversee logistical operations of trading vessels/cargo ships of our Principals calling in a year in all the major ports in Bangladesh
∎ Direct department to handle the operations efficiently and cost effectively without sacrificing service to our clients
∎ Oversee department in coordination of berthing with the ports, confirm pilots, lines, stevedores and continually keep vendors and the vessel aware of changes
∎ Oversee department in streamlining clearance with Port and Government authorities in order to expedite cargo operations
∎ Educate our principals/vessel prior to arrival of port requirements and operational plan in order to avoid delays or fines
∎ Attend meetings with Port and Government Officials to continually improve operations for our principals
∎ Oversee facilitation of immigration clearance with Customs and Border Protection for crew, passengers, and the vessel
∎ Ensure vessel compliance with local, state & national laws and government regulations
∎ Setting up long term, yearly & periodical business goals and device & execute business strategy with the aim to contribute to the growth of the business and achievement of overall targets under the guidance of Management
∎ Periodic follow up of implementation of business strategies, figuring out the deviations and take corrective measures to ensure the performance as per the set business targets
∎ Implement continuous research in place to analyze business trends, collect customer/market insight and share the findings with Management to ensure the consistency of business development with the & develop of business strategy accordingly
∎ To propose the yearly budget for the unit and business promotion drives and ensure predetermined Return on Investment (ROI) and accordingly submit periodic report to the Management
∎ Ensuring department personnel are trained, developed, and mentored to fulfill logistics operational responsibilities
∎ Planning, organizing and directing departmental compliance with Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015) procedures
∎ Meeting with buyers and foreign delegates to determine opportunities and customer requirements and develop networks

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Good proficiency in written and spoken English
∎ Candidate has to be self-motivated, highly productive and with a reliable working attitude
∎ Must have the ability to work under pressure
∎ Excellent public relations and decision making ability
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skill
∎ Well versed in computer operation
∎ Strong presentation skill in MS PowerPoint
∎ Have Leadership, Negotiation and Management skills
∎ Right balance of strategic approach/analytical skills along with creativity and innovation
