Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a Chief Business Officer who will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving the overall commercial success, strategic growth, and revenue generation of our Company.

The Chief Business Officer will ensure all business development, sales, and operational strategies align with the firm's long-term vision and regulatory requirements (BSEC, DSE/CSE).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, business strategies to maximize market share, client acquisition, and overall profitability.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, products (e.g., portfolio management, margin facilities), and market segments in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee Corporate strategy, market analysis, and competitive positioning within the local capital market.

Revenue & Sales Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the entire Sales and Relationship Management teams to achieve aggressive annual revenue and volume targets.
  • Oversee the acquisition and retention of High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) and Institutional clients.
  • Optimize the brokerage model, focusing on transaction efficiency, customer service, and digital adoption.

Operational & Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor and analyze key business metrics, market trends, and internal performance indicators to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure all business operations adhere to the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) regulations and local financial laws.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Management:

  • Forge and maintain strategic relationships with financial institutions, institutional clients, and external business partners.
  • Act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and represent the company in industry forums.
