Educational Requirements:
∎ Applicants should ideally have a Master's degree in any discipline from social sciences and related area. Applicants with PhD in relevant area are preferable.

Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS), University of Dhaka in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is offering four CGS-UNDP Fellowship Award on Peace for 4 months. The Fellowship is designed to widen the scope of evidence-based research on crime and violence in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Peace Observatory (BPO) (accessible at: http://peaceobservatory-cgs.org) as a repository of data on violence, violence prevention and social cohesion will be the basis of research under this Fellowship. It also aims to engage researcher with the BPO for disseminating the evidence through sophisticated analytical works.
∎ Duration of Fellowship:
∎ The duration of the Fellowship is 4 (four) months from the date of signing of the contract.
∎ Fellowship Preference:
∎ The Fellowship will be awarded to researchers and scholars who can contribute to theoretical and empirical research on data from the BPO and relevant sources.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Candidate must have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement and ability to complete the fellowship successfully.
∎ The proposal ought to reflect BPO data and at least one or more categories of violence reported in BPO.

Salary:
∎ The value of the award will be between BDT. 147,000 to 255,000.
