Job Context:
∎ Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS), University of Dhaka, is committed to creating a mindset free of fear, intolerance and hatred. In 2021, University of Dhaka will turn 100, and this will certainly be a cause of celebration, more so because University of Dhaka is deemed to have given birth to Bangladesh by raising the first national flag of Bangladesh on 2 March 1971. CGS takes this as an opportunity to reflect on the State of Higher Education in Bangladesh. It is with this view in mind that CGS in collaboration with FES is launching the second edition of CGS-FES Fellowship 2019 on the Futures of Higher Education.
∎ This year four (4) fellowships will be offered to the individuals with expertise, merits, and previous experiences to work on the theme: "Unlocking creativity and innovation at universities: What needs to change". Particularly we are looking for ideas, attempts, and examples that show how student, staffs and stakeholders of universities foster innovation and creativity with a special focus on policies, strategies, institutions, and methods. Applicants can address innovation in teaching, learning, and research (innovation in e-/hybrid learning, cultivating curiosity and creativity, critical thinking), how we nurture sustainability, how we foster employability for innovative jobs, how we connect seeds of innovation to those who can help implement the change, and develop policy recommendations to address the current trend of higher education why may shape the futures in different ways.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Applicants must have at least 3 years experiences in relevant fields.
∎ Applicants must demonstrate research questions, methodology and definite work plan in the proposal aiming to complete the research within a stipulated time period.
∎ The research proposal ought to be relevant to the theme of the fellowship.

Salary:
∎ The value of the award will be between BDT 150,000 - 200,000.
