Education:

• HSC in Commerce

• At least 1 year of experience as a cashier (preferably in a cafe or food outlet)

• Strong numerical and communication skills

• Basic computer knowledge and experience with POS systems

• Good attention to detail and a high level of integrity

• Friendly, courteous, and presentable appearance

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process payments (cash, card, mobile, etc.).

• Ensure billing accuracy and issue receipts to customers.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented cashier counter area.

• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and report any discrepancies.

• Answer customer queries related to menu items, prices, or promotions.

• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.

• Follow all cash handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.

• Assist with other front-of-house tasks during busy hours, including packaging takeaway items or helping serve.

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation

• Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so
