Job Context:
∎ The CB training officers are responsible for providing support on capacity building in the areas of child protection by facilitating training, workshops and ensuring continued coaching and mentoring based on staff needs assessment. He/she coordinates with the CP case workers and PSS animators to support on build knowledge and skills of child protection field staff and with other operational teams for the delivery of child protection mainstreaming training. He/she supports to identify external opportunities for increasing the technical capacities of staff in child protection and other cross cutting themes.
∎ Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh) is an international non-profit voluntary organization working in Bangladesh since 1974. Its delegation office is located in Dhaka. The CP senior training officer are to be based in the cox`s office and field where Tdh is planning to engage to help the displaced people came from Myanmar and the local community in accessing child protection services. The positions require direct support of the CP capacity building activities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organize and assist to conduct regular staff training of child protection teams, including community volunteers, and other staffs.
∎ Ensure the staff capacity building plan responding to regular needs are met in coordination with the case workers and PSS animators.
∎ Assist to develop and update individual training file for each staff that tracks attended trainings either internal or external according to each individual need assessment and response plan.
∎ Provide support to CB PM and deputy PM in designing modules and tools relating to activities aiming to build the capacity of local actors (i.e. inputs on contents and methods of delivery) and support in conducting the trainings/sessions.
∎ Liaise regularly with CP team on training and development needs of child protection teams to meet the needs of projects
∎ Support to develop a Dropbox toolkit as to store and regularly update all the resources used for and in trainings in coordination with CP CB manager including establish and maintain a corner resource library in Tdh office
∎ Maintain regular flow of communication with CP CBM, deputy CBM and other sectors' team to ensure that the delivery of trainings is planed based on the needs of the projects'.
∎ Exchange information with his/her line manager on a regular basis and assist with circulating information following normal communication channels.
∎ Support to identifies and maintain extensive training resource (list of training institutions, list of consultants, training venues etc.) and logistic preparation prior sending Tdh staffs to external trainings.
∎ Report to the office on weekly basis for submission of paper copies receipts
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
∎ Support the Deputy PM in reporting to donors through both formal and informal briefings, annual, semi-annual, monthly and weekly reports, and maintain ongoing dialogue
∎ Weekly and monthly report to the CP CB deputy manager.
∎ Lead on organizing training in the community and camps
∎ Maintain and strengthen the relations with the other organizations dealing with CP CB
∎ Any other task relevant to the position or asked by the supervisor to implement

∎ Prior Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in Child Protection related training with INGO or Local NGO is required.
∎ Skills and Abilities: Organized, discreet, and people oriented. Possess strong communication skills (both oral and written), able to communicate with tact and diplomacy, and be able to work effectively with employees at all levels of an organization. Skills with MS Office applications -Word, Excel, PowerPoint - and the capacity to learn new software applications.
∎ Language Proficiency: English and Bangla skills are required for writing, typing and speaking. Ability to speak the Chittagonian dialect is an asset. English Language and Chittagonian dialect proficiency will be tested.
∎ Others:
