Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Planning and executing merchandising strategies to optimize product assortments and maximize sales and profitability.
∎ Analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to make informed decisions on product selection, pricing, and inventory management.
∎ Developing and managing merchandising budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to drive sales and meet financial targets.
∎ Conducting regular store visits and market research to evaluate product performance, identify opportunities, and address any potential issues.
∎ Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to maintain optimal inventory levels.
∎ Overseeing product presentation and visual merchandising to create compelling and attractive displays that enhance the overall shopping experience.
∎ Monitoring competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the market and identify new opportunities for growth.
∎ Developing and implementing promotional strategies and campaigns to drive customer engagement and increase footfall.
∎ Providing guidance and direction to the merchandising team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
∎ Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives.
