Routine Functions:
Build sales efforts on leads provided by Directors and M.D
Schedule and conduct meeting with existing and potential clients to develop and foster long term business partnerships.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and products in the brand protection domain
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients on BP solutions employing company products and services.
Plan and develop new products prototype, implement new product launches and monitor product performance over their life cycles.
Plan annual product-wise sales, cost, profit margins, and cash flows, and monitor and report actual and variances at monthly intervals.
Participate in planning and scheduling procurement of raw materials based on contracted sales volumes.
Watch competitor’s activities and brief Director Operations on ways and means for countering their impact on SIPL’s business.
Do the initial costing new security labels and sleeves for bidding purposes.
Lead Company bidding process for new business through tenders.
Report any unusual incident, activity or potential safety hazard to a member of Fire and Safety Committee.
Perform any other work assigned by his immediate supervisor.
The Business Development Manager identifies and pursues assigned opportunities for expanding BP sales by focusing on customer’s unique requirements, developing long term relationships while maintaining targets for market share, sales revenue, and contribution to profit.
Principal Responsibility:
Study the local market to understand and quantify customer requirements, and evaluate their appetite for spending on BP products.
Promote awareness of the impact of product counterfeits on client’s business and products under threat.
Relate company BP product and service profiles to customer’s business needs.
Organize toll manufacturing of products for jobs, other than self-adhesive labels.
Restrict receivables to budgeted limits.
Guide and support other Business Development Managers for meeting their respective business targets.
