∎ Grant writing and proposal (both technical and financial) development for donor-funded projects.

∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with donor tracking tools.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview.
∎ The position includes a three-month probation period, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.
∎ The selected candidate may be required to travel outside Dhaka occasionally.
∎ Research and monitor calls for proposals, grants, and funding opportunities aligned with IID’s mission.
∎ Maintain an up-to-date donor database, track funding deadlines, and provide timely updates to senior leadership.
∎ Support partner relationship management by preparing outreach materials and reports.
∎ Assist in writing, editing, and formatting concept notes and/or technical and financial proposals in collaboration with IID and/or external thematic experts.
∎ Ensure proposals align with partner requirements and submission guidelines.
∎ Maintain and update IID’s organizational profile, team bios, and past project summaries for proposal use.
∎ Develop marketing portfolios, capability statements, and organizational profiles to enhance IID’s visibility among partners and potential funders.
∎ Support in crafting external communication materials related to business development.
∎ Keep records of submitted proposals, funding trends, and engagement with partners.
∎ Support internal learning on proposal development and partner engagement best practices.
∎ Purpose of the Role:
∎ The Business Development Associate (BDA) will play a key role in expanding IID’s funding base by identifying opportunities, tracking potential partners and funders, and supporting proposal development. This role will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen IID’s engagement with partners, enhance its visibility, and contribute to strategic positioning. The Business Development Associate will also support the development of marketing portfolios and organizational profiles, ensuring IID is well-positioned to secure new projects and collaborations.

∎ Research and monitor calls for proposals, grants, and funding opportunities aligned with IID’s mission.

∎ Maintain and update IID’s organizational profile, team bios, and past project summaries for proposal use.
∎ Marketing & Communications for Business Development (20%)
