Responsibilities & Context:
Assess and diagnose hearing, balance, speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Conduct audiological tests (audiometry, tympanometry, OAE, ABR) and speech-language evaluations.
Recommend, fit, and program hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive devices.
Provide therapy for speech clarity, fluency, voice, and language development.
Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Manage tinnitus, vestibular (balance) problems, and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).
Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on communication and hearing strategies.
Collaborate with ENT specialists, doctors, psychologists, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate patient records, track progress, and prepare diagnostic/treatment reports.
Conduct awareness programs on hearing conservation, communication development, and related health issues.
