Job Context:
∎ This job requires the candidate to have experience in practicing in the Court of Labor Law, with vast knowledge in Domestic Inquiry and knowledge of Criminal and Civil laws.
∎ Interested Candidates must be enrolled & passed from Bangladesh Bar Council and have Bar Council Certificate (Sanad)
∎ Knowledge and skills Required:
∎ Thorough knowledge of DRAFTING, VETTING of contract/agreement and other legal documents
∎ Ensure compliance with Bangladesh factory and Labour related laws.
∎ Monitoring and handling arbitration & litigation and other disputes under local laws.
∎ Ability to interact independently with Advocates, Govt. and Police and other related authorities

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be responsible to :
∎ Provide legal opinion on different issues, including on land documents, Title search from concern authorities.
∎ Drafting various kinds of Legal Notice, Plaints, Letter of Authority, Petition, Applications.
∎ Look after the cases on behalf of the Company and follow up regularly.
∎ Vetting of legal official documents like sale deeds, allotment agreement and deed of agreement for all departments ensuring all kind of risks and regulatory compliance.
∎ Maintain liaise and coordinate with different law firms, vendors over legal issues of the Company
∎ Complete all kind of registration in concern Sub-registrar office and Mutation procedure.
∎ Prepared to travel Factories and other Institutions as required.
∎ Preparing and maintaining files for all kinds of cases, letters, correspondence and report;
∎ To prepare and represent the Company in all matters before the Courts of Law, in litigation, other legal proceedings on matters in which the Company has an interest.
∎ Look after the cases of the organization civil and criminal cases.
∎ To follow-up and monitor all lawsuits filed by the Organization or against the Organization pending in the different District Court and take all necessary steps to expedition.
∎ To prepare up to date suit status report and submit before the Management as per instruction of the Organization.
∎ Primarily responsible for providing high quality advice to the organization on major legal issues and problems.
∎ Conduct and monitor different legal matters associated with company business when required
∎ Prepare, file and plead cases in Court in pursuit of amounts owed to the Company.
∎ Initiate and pursue legal proceedings as required by the Company i.e., prepare writs, defenses, submissions and other pleadings in civil cases both "for and against" the Company.
∎ Review and provide legal advice on tender documents, ongoing cases, statutory compliances
∎ Draft and/or review legal letters, contracts and agreements and monitor legal obligations under agreements to ensure compliance, as requested.
∎ Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
∎ Responsible to draft various disciplinary letters/ legal letters/official correspondences/ reply letter/ legal notice/ agreement/ contract/ deed etc.
∎ Communicate with Law office.
∎ To prepare Management, Note / Memo regarding permission for filing suit against the misappropriated employees of the Organization for the recovery of misappropriated money.
∎ To Prepare summary report monthly or periodically for submission to the Management.
∎ The appointee shall deliver his/her earnest capacity and efforts to search, find out and short-list the appropriate quantity of land to be purchased for the projects of the company every month and for this purpose he/she shall be required to see, check and verify every single document of land relating to land deeds and bia-deeds, records, parches, survey maps, khatians, dags, DCRs of CS, SA, RS, BS etc., mutation documents, tax documents and other legal papers and documents which are essential for the purity and genuinely of the purchasable lands and their unhindered, peaceful and hazard-free possessions.
∎ The appointee shall be responsible for the accomplishment of a minimum quantity of land purchase every month complying with the prescribed standards in the rate and location of the company for different projects. The appointee will be given a gross idea about the price of land to be purchased depending on the location and physical status, but bringing down the price in the rock bottom level should be the highest priority of the appointee.
∎ The appointee shall prepare appropriate action plan for the staffs and officers of his/her department and monitor the work-done reports with due evaluation in regular basis.
∎ The appointee shall supervise the integrity and sincerity of his/her workforce in performing the land management and land dispute resolving activities.
∎ The appointee shall keep an eye over the project area and its boundary walls/fences round the clock so that no lack of arrangement in the security and supervision might hamper the peaceful and demarcated khass possessions of the land and properties involving company's interest.
∎ The appointee shall be capable to mobilize his/her subordinate people to collect appropriate information regarding the genuinely of ownership, valuation and khass possession of the land and properties involving company's interest.
∎ The appointee shall delegate his/her responsibilities among the members of his/her department according to their capacity and efficiency.
∎ The appointee shall be efficient in coordinating the executives, brokers and agents engaged in the projects with different objectives.
∎ The appointee shall prepare, check and sign the reports and statements to be submitted to the appointing authority.
∎ The appointee shall maintain the attendance and tracking reports of the members of his/her department and developmental agents, brokers and middlemen.
∎ The appointee shall prepare, present and place the land purchase requisitions and the budgets to the appropriate line management of the company in due course of time.
∎ The appointee shall prepare and present necessary recommendations relating to the land management activities to the higher management.
∎ The appointee shall take adequate security measures to avoid any sort of untoward situation caused by taking over the khass possession of the land and properties involving company's interest. Had there been any such situation occurred despite adequate measures, then he/she shall take necessary steps to mitigate the situation as soon as possible.
∎ The appointee shall keep himself/herself physically fit for work all the time and shall maintain standard condition according to the Body Mass Index (BMI) scale all the time.
∎ The appointee shall bear the company prescribed identity during the office hours and at all the time of his/her outdoor activities as well.
∎ Administering Land on Lease, Stamp Duty Payment and registration of Lease
∎ deed.
∎ Preparing Legal Notices, Petitions, Complaints, Replies and other documents in connection with the legal cases of the company.
∎ To handle labour court/ Civil court / Criminal Court cases,
∎ Have to visit factories, Labour Court, Judge Court, Civil Court, High Court and any other government/non-government office
∎ To re-check and vetting the file of joint venture agreement.
∎ To prepare and provide list of wanting documents.
∎ To prepare opinion as per submitted documents.
∎ To coordinate with legal advisor regarding all legal issues.
∎ To represent as a company lawyer against case hearing day in court.
∎ To check the allotment letter signed with client from legal aspect.
∎ To report company Advisor and line manager regarding registration & legal affairs.
∎ Shall handle all land related legal issues
∎ Must have sufficient knowledge in Land Law, Civil & Criminal Law and other related activities.
∎ Will be responsible for meeting with various Landowners and Media man for procurement of land as assigned by the Management.
∎ Will be responsible to collect related papers and documents from Landowners / Media man.
∎ Will be responsible for vetting and verifying of collected documents and papers.
∎ Will be responsible to consult with Legal Advisor for a legal opinion as and when required.
∎ Must have sound knowledge and familiar with all legal documents like various kind of deeds, Khatians, Maps, court orders and other court related documents,
∎ Must have sound knowledge to keep records of legal instruments of the company and must have appropriate knowledge to furnish all documents to submit before AC (Land) as well as tahshil office to get mutation properly.
∎ Interactions with brokers, conducting initial meetings with clients, taking down details, receive documents, keeping in touch with clients and follow-up.
∎ Must have sound knowledge all kinds of land survey & Checking of legal documents
∎ Must have sound knowledge all kinds of Registry (drafted Purchase Agreement, Purchase Deed, Sale Deed, Power of Attorney etc.)

∎ Good knowledge about Penal Code 1860, Criminal Procedure Code 1898 , Labour Law 2006, Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 etc.
∎ Should have good writing skills in preparing reports both in English & Bangla

∎ Experience in working with any company or organization as a lawyer will add extra preference. Have knowledge on relevant law, policy, rules, procedures and judicial system of Bangladesh. Sound knowledge on MS Office, Good Communication skills.
∎ Excellent communication skill in English & Bangla both in speaking and writing.
∎ Good team player, well-organized, initiative and detail-oriented
∎ Should have sound knowledge in Labor Law
