BEETLSL, a distinguished environmental consultancy firm in Bangladesh, boasts an in-house laboratory facility dedicated to environmental engineering and accredited by the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB).
Presently, we are actively recruiting an Associate Social Consultant to contribute to our ongoing projects.
Associate Social Consultant is responsible for Overall management of BEETLSL, including Monitoring, Reporting, Site visit, Consultation, Item maintenance, or any work as per Management Decision may be changed at any time but not limited to:
1. Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate community consultations and public meetings to gather input, address concerns, and ensure project transparency.
Conduct FGD, KII, and Surveys for projects from time to time.
2. Social Impact Assessment:
Conduct thorough social impact assessments (SIA) to identify potential risks and opportunities associated with the construction project.
Develop mitigation strategies to minimize negative impacts on local communities and maximize social benefits.
3. Community Development:
Design and implement community development programs that align with the project’s objectives and local needs.
Work with local leaders to empower communities and ensure they benefit from the project’s activities.
4. Resettlement and Rehabilitation:
Manage resettlement and rehabilitation processes in compliance with national and international standards.
Ensure fair compensation, proper relocation, and sustainable livelihood restoration for affected communities.
5. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
Establish and manage a grievance redress mechanism to address community complaints and resolve disputes effectively.
Monitor and document grievances, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
6. Cultural Sensitivity and Compliance:
Ensure that all project activities are conducted with cultural sensitivity and respect for local customs and traditions.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and the project’s social safeguards.
7. Monitoring and Reporting:
Develop and implement social monitoring plans to track the impact of the project on local communities.
Prepare and submit regular reports on social performance, including progress, challenges, and outcomes, to project management and stakeholders.
8. Training and Capacity Building:
Provide training and capacity-building support to project staff, contractors, and community members on social issues and best practices.
Raise awareness on social and environmental standards among all stakeholders involved in the project.
9. Risk Management:
Identify and assess social risks associated with the project, and develop risk management plans to mitigate these risks.
Work closely with the project team to ensure that social risks are integrated into the overall project risk management framework.
10. Collaboration with Environmental Teams:
Collaborate with environmental teams to ensure that social and environmental impacts are addressed in an integrated manner.
Support the development of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) that meet both social and environmental standards.
