Experience:

• Liaison and communications abilities with NGOs and development partners.

• A strong track record of active participation in research.

• Professional and academic expertise in English.

• Their own research interests and portfolios for which they have actively advocated national policymakers.

• Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

• Previously presented specific papers at international and national scientific meetings.

• Skilled  at data cleaning, validation, and analysis using SPSS or Stata

• Two references will be required from previous employers.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating research activities in the hospital under the supervision of the Director Research and Professor of Paediatrics. The AWCH's major areas of research interest include, but is not limited to, breastfeeding, reducing unnecessary caesarean section, nutrition, tuberculosis, reproductive health, chronic disease and child health.

• We are looking for a dynamic and committed medical or health-adjacent graduate who can independently look for research funding opportunities, develop and submit project proposals, coordinate implementation of research projects, analyse data, prepare reports and submit manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals for publication.
