Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidates must have Diploma in Agriculture will be given preference with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor the contract farmers’ selection with suitable land for seed production and observe the land and seed bed preparation
∎ Observe and maintain plantation of potato seed production
∎ Follow up plot and block of potato seed production during and after seed sowing
∎ Perform the off-types and weeding, rouging non-crossed and undesirable plants
∎ Check disease and follow up water management
∎ Engage in close and careful supervision during gathering of seeds after harvesting from field; seed sample collection
∎ Check the quality of potato seed, preserve it in cold storage, along with the checking of the condition of cold storage; temperature, humidity, stacking of sack and removing
∎ Participate in GOT of different seeds of potato and count virus of the GOT field
∎ Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the respective authority
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
∎ Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the respective authority
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 35 years
∎ Must have experience in relevant field
∎ Age, education and experience will be relaxed for the potential candidates
∎ Have sound knowledge in potato seed production, sowing period, land and seed bed preparation, fertilizer and pesticides use, water management, weed management, pests and disease management and rouging
∎ Able to identify good quality seed, weed and pests, disease
∎ Able to maintain ethical and moral standards, adaptive to change management, problem solving, risk taking, visionary, learning enthusiastic, analyse data, time management
∎ Should have skill on relationship building, prioritizing. planning
∎ Have knowledge of MS word, excel and internet browsing
∎ Have to work under pressure
