  • Sound understanding of Bangladesh Bank Circulars, guidelines, and local legal & regulatory issues.

  • Appropriate experience in lending and trade finance products.

  • Sound knowledge of the Bank's credit policies with the ability to apply them to specific situations and structure effective credit product offerings.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and risk analysis.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, think and act independently, and seek guidance when necessary.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Plan, direct, and manage the Agricultural Banking Unit at Head Office and Branch levels to acquire new business and enhance existing relationships. Set comprehensive business strategies for Agricultural Banking.

  • Recommend agricultural credit proposals forwarded by Relationship Managers (RMs) for Credit Risk Management (CRM) analysis and approval.

  • Guide Branch and Head Office officers in structuring credit proposals, balancing customer needs with the Bank's interests.

  • Enforce compliance with credit risk parameters and exposure limits set by the Bank and Regulatory Authorities.

  • Collaborate with the Risk Management Division (RMD) to finalise risk appetite for the agricultural sector.

  • Review and monitor the agricultural portfolio in collaboration with CRM, Credit Administration Division (CAD), and RMD.

  • Cooperate with CRM and Collection Units to ensure recovery of agricultural default loans.

  • Maintain strong banking relationships with various agriculture-related organisations, Bangladesh Bank, and other key stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely submission of all agricultural banking-related reports to the concerned divisions/authorities.

  • Drive value creation for agricultural and inclusive financing development.
