Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Civil Engineering, Bachelor degree in any discipline

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the project in target location/s- 20%
∎ Responsible for all community level activities at assigned location/s under supervision of Project Focal / Supervisor.
∎ Organize the project inception meeting with different level stakeholder.
∎ Provision of IRB country strategy implementation at field level.
∎ Ensure selection of beneficiaries according to criteria defined in proposal and validate it by respective authority.
∎ Ensure inclusion of gender, persons with disabilities, elderly and other vulnerable communities according to the IR Principle and guideline during participant selection and other steps of implementation.
∎ Implementation of the assigned project activities i.e., shelter, water, sanitation, and hygiene related activities.
∎ Prepare attendance sheet, muster roll and any other documents for audit compliances.
∎ Prepare field movement and community engagement plan, approve it with supervisor and ensure strict alignment with the plan.
∎ Support / Participate in different need assessment, impact evaluation, Beneficiary Feedback Survey etc.
∎ Ensure other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
∎ Maintain coordination and cooperation with the technical team members.
∎ Engage in effective community mobilization, e.g., arrange and conduction of HP session, caretaker training, CCM and preparing report of these within IR guidelines and compliances.
∎ Be aligned with the agreed time, cost and quality constrains of the project to enable delivery of the agreed outputs and/or benefits.
∎ Practice and promote SPHERE and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) in all project activities.
∎ Support to ensure Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities
∎ Technical support- 20%
∎ Support to prepare BoQ and Design of any technical intervention of HP.
∎ Estimate the materials quantities according to approved BoQ and Design.
∎ Ensure construction quality through proper documentation.
∎ Monitoring of construction activities.
∎ Site selection and site preparation for construction sites.
∎ Prepare post measurement sheet for any interventions.
∎ Generate innovative ideas for WASH, shelter and other humanitarian interventions.
∎ Ensure effective monitoring of project intervention -20%
∎ Regular monitoring of sustainable livelihoods, human rights, gender-based violence, child rights, leadership, disaster management, waste management shelter / WASH / emergency relief / recovery / rehabilitation activities at beneficiary level.
∎ Regular monitoring of project related activities especially sustainable livelihood opportunities, empowerment of marginalized communities, protected rights of the children of the marginalized communities, disaster risk management at beneficiary level.
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, materials & inform project focal / supervisor.
∎ Capacity building initiatives for project participants, key stakeholders, and project staff at program level- 10%
∎ Support to organize orientation for the newly recruited project staffs.
∎ Organize basic skill development training for project participants on different subjects i.e., sustainable livelihoods, human rights, gender-based violence, child rights, leadership, disaster management, waste management shelter / WASH / emergency relief / recovery / rehabilitation activities, repair and maintenance of shelter, WASH interventions, health & hygiene promotion etc.
∎ Participate and facilitate weekly and monthly project related awareness raising and feedback session i.e., courtyard meeting at community level.
∎ Orient key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities.
∎ Organize training and workshop in different sector for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving and visibility according to the project need-10%
∎ Prepare bill & check the bills vouchers.
∎ Support supervisor to prepare training, CCM, HP session's report, monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative report as per proposal and project need.
∎ Assist supervisor to prepare monthly progress report.
∎ Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project related documents and ensure sending to Humanitarian & Resilience Programme department within due time.
∎ Prepare or collect media & communication materials (Photographs, Case Study etc.) required to ensure project visibility.
∎ Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guideline.
∎ Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination, and advocacy with different stakeholders -10%
∎ Support to organize the project inception meeting with different level stakeholder.
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with upazila and DC office.
∎ Establish and maintain effective coordination mechanism with key stakeholders of the project.
∎ Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in coordination meeting at upazila and district level.
∎ Assist in the phase-out meeting and lesson learnt workshop for further organizational development.
∎ Collect successful project completion letter form relevant authorities.
∎ Other Requirements-10%
∎ Contribute to other project activities and any other tasks as required by program management;
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering to achieve the program's goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Participate seasonal (Ramadan, Akika & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if require.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

∎ Age 18 to 60 years
∎ Experience in working with WASH, sustainable livelihoods, gender-based violence, disaster management, climate change, waste management.
∎ Essential: Project Implementation Skill, Social Mobilization Skill, Facilitation Skill, Coordination/Advocacy/Networking/Communication Skill, Reporting & Documentation, Monitoring & Evaluation Skill, Financial management, Decision making, Conflict resolution , Leadership, Self-development, Problem solving, Planning, analytical and organizational skills, Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively, Supportive, effective and, good team player, Staff Management, Willing to adapt to IRW's norms and values, Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/Power Point, Working knowledge-Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening for English & Bengali.
∎ Desirable: Basic Photographic Skill, Strategic Management.
