Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee and coordinate the operation of the Safe Space for Women and Girls (SSWG).
∎ Recruit, train volunteer and update database of all the volunteer in the respective zone of responsibility.
∎ Provide support to colleagues in relation to material, administrative and logistical needs to enable their work efficiently.
∎ Provide technical and managerial supervision to the volunteer including giving guidance, advice on their work, maintain attendance record and monitor and evaluate their performance.
∎ Conduct community consultations to design programme and operation.
∎ Conduct Safety Audit to assess safety and security concerns for women and girls.
∎ Prepare weekly, bi-weekly report and monthly as well for partner and sectoral use of HCMP-BRAC.
∎ Responsible to work in different team(Local activism,Community leadership, PSS, Case management) with different tasks.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good knowledge about Protection in emergency context
∎ Strong mentality to work with displaced people as well as Sexual and Gender Based Violence survivors.
∎ Excellent team management and leadership skills.
∎ Ability to adapt to changes and work in tense situations.
∎ Strong motivation and ability to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders.
∎ Ability to speak the local Chittagong dialect is an added advantage.
∎ Experience from a humanitarian/NGO setting with relevant professional experience in the field of sexual exploitation and abuse, protection, gender-based violence, staff misconduct and discipline, gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian affairs.
∎ Willingness and ability to work in the field directly with communities (camp setting and communities in the project field area).
∎ Have effective acquaintance with people management.
∎ Have excellent knowledge and skill in Office applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel) Self-motivation, goal/result-orientation and team work
∎ Good communication & negotiation skills
