Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the project in target location/s-35%
∎ Responsible for all community-level activities at assigned location/s under the supervision of Project Focal / Supervisor.
∎ Provision of IRB country strategy implementation at field level.
∎ Ensure selection of beneficiaries according to criteria defined in proposal and validate it by the respective authority.
∎ Ensure inclusion of gender, persons with disabilities, elderly and other vulnerable communities according to the IR Principle and guideline during participant selection and other steps of implementation.
∎ Implementations of the assigned project activities i.e. understand the water gauge setup and flood bulletin mechanism in close coordination with relevant stakeholders at local and Upazila levels.
∎ Participate in the development and testing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), particularly by identifying relevant and effective early actions and establishing flood monitoring systems in collaboration with authorities, DMCs, and community members.
∎ Support the institutional capacity building of stakeholders to enhance their response capabilities to floods using the FbA mechanism and early action matrix.
∎ Community mobilization will involve organizing and participating in community sensitization meetings, monthly planning and review meetings, and taking the opportunity to support the dissemination of appropriate information on FbA.
∎ Guide the FbA piloting / strengthening to ensure local authorities can effectively use allocated/requested funds and SOPs to take the relevant early actions before the flood.
∎ Coordinate with local disaster management committees to support, conduct Community Risk Assessments (CRA), collect reports, and participate in developing vulnerability maps for unavailable areas and RRAP development.
∎ Facilitate the establishment of threshold action matrices through multiple stakeholder community consultations.
∎ Promote local level advocacy in FbA, flood preparedness, and early warning early action.
∎ Support the achievement of gender equity concerning emergency activities.
∎ Identify and facilitate the use of local resources in routine project implementation.
∎ Prepare attendance sheet, muster roll, and any other documents for audit compliances.
∎ Prepare field movement and community engagement plan, approve it with supervisor and ensure strict alignment with the plan.
∎ Support / Participate in different need assessments, impact evaluation, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), etc.
∎ Ensure other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
∎ Maintain coordination and cooperation with the technical team members.
∎ Be aligned with the agreed time, cost, and quality constraints of the project to enable the delivery of the agreed outputs and/or benefits.
∎ Practice and promote SPHERE and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) in all project activities.
∎ Support to ensure Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues concerning project activities.
∎ Ensure complain log and register at project office level
∎ Ensure effective monitoring of project intervention-20%
∎ Regular monitoring of project activities at the beneficiary level.
∎ Ensuring quality through regular monitoring of activities, checking appropriate standards and procedures.
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, materials & inform project focal / supervisor.
∎ Capacity building initiatives for project participants, key stakeholders, and project staff at the program level-20%
∎ Organize basic skill development training for project participants on different subjects i.e. FbA, FbA, FFW, early warning, anticipatory action, etc.
∎ Participate and facilitate weekly and monthly project-related awareness raising and feedback sessions i.e. courtyard meetings at the community level.
∎ Orient key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues concerning project activities.
∎ Organize and facilitate meetings, training, and workshop in different sectors for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving, and visibility according to the project need-10%
∎ Compile relevant project data, and prepare documents for creating an evidence base for FbA.
∎ Maintain administrative/financial files and project documentation.
∎ Assist with data collection, processing, and analyzing data from the field and produce information/briefs for interventions, strategies, projects/programs and produce maps.
∎ Prepare bill & check the bills vouchers.
∎ Support supervisor to prepare monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative reports as per proposal and project need.
∎ Assist supervisor to prepare monthly progress reports.
∎ Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project-related documents and ensure sending to Humanitarian & Resilience Programme department within due time.
∎ Prepare or collect media & communication materials (Photographs, Case studies, etc.) required to ensure project visibility.
∎ Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guidelines.
∎ Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination, and advocacy with different stakeholders-10%
∎ Support to organize the project inception meeting with different level stakeholders.
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with Upazila, DC office particularly local disaster management committees (DMCs) to ensure their active participation in the implementation of FbA.
∎ Establish and maintain an effective coordination mechanism with key stakeholders of the project.
∎ Mobilize local support of civil society, community leaders, and other elite for quality project implementation as per procedures of IRB.
∎ Distribute IEC materials to relevant institutional stakeholders to ensure quality technical messages and approaches are reaching all the target beneficiaries.
∎ Promote and motivate inclusive participation by community representatives, in all project activities, taking care to assist cooperation concerning gender, etc.
∎ Represent Islamic Relief Bangladeshin coordination meeting at Upazila and district level.
∎ Assist in the phase-out meeting and lesson learned workshop for further organizational development.
∎ Collect successful project completion letters from relevant authorities.
∎ Others-5%

∎ Participate & involved with seasonal (Ramadan, winterization & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if required.
∎ Propose some methodology, according to the proposal, and provide it with the experience and lessons learned from the other organizations.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required

Additional Requirements:
